While eating the rice noodles, Li Shi was contemplating about where he would stay while in the county town.
The simplest solution was staying at a hotel, but he quickly ruled this possibility out. The hotels in the county weren't up to his standard and it made more sense to rent an apartment instead, at least it would be cleaner.
"But...if I rent a house, I might as well buy one instead. Buying a house here in the county, my hometown, wouldn't cost much after all."
Property prices in the county range from four to five thousand per square meter. Even if he bought a house of one hundred and fifty square meters, it would only cost about six to seven hundred thousand — the price of a Bentley could buy several.
After leaving the noodle shop, Li Shi called his mother to inform her that he had something to do in the county town and that he would return home later.
