Chapter 13: Dimitri.

To those who knew her, it was common knowledge that Regina disliked drinking, except for celebration purposes. To her it made no sense to drench oneself in alcohol in hopes to drink away their worries in life. Because of this, her only mission was to ruin the night for Treasure.

When the opportunity presented itself, she couldn't help but take it selfishly. This is gonna be one heck of a night. thought Regina as she smirked.

From another table in the lounge, a man watched Regina carefully. Her expression was unfathomable as her smirk was long gone but her eyes shown with pure amusement as she watched her friend walk to the bar. She looked so guilty yet uncomprehendingly innocent, like an innocent devil if that existed. His eyes shown with admiration for her.

He straightened his suit and walked over to the pretty face he hadn't seen in a while. "I hope you don't mind my company, no?" he said taking a seat before her. The excitement in Gina's eyes died at the sight of him.

The man before her was strikingly handsome, at least to every woman in the world. His dark hair shone in the dim flickering lights. His green eyes stared fixedly at her. Never in her worst nightmares did she think she'd see this face.

It was 2 years ago. Regina reluctantly followed her sister, Rea and Tia to this very club.

"Oh I'm loving this!!!" Abby screamed swaying to the music, obviously under the influence of a crazy amount of alcohol. "Abigail calm down. You're already diverting the attention of men to us. We haven't even gone hunting yet." Tia giggled, also seriously intoxicated.

"I don't want to go after men. For once let them come after me." Abby whined. "Would you both just shut up!" Gina said disgusted by their choice of words. "Gina, don't be a buzz kill. Have a little bit more f-" Abby puked all over Regina. "Gross! This outing is good-for-nothing!" Gina complained.

Making her way to the toilet, she met him. "Now who would ruin such a lovely dress on such a beautiful woman." Regina eyed him from top to bottom, then without saying a word, she walked away. "Sassy. Me like." he said licking his lips.

"Those stupid girls." mumbled Gina inaudibly. She pulled out a similar dress from her purse. She entered the dressing room and started unlacing the dress. When the lace was completely undone, the dress fell on the floor.

The man followed her to the toilet stealthy, like a lion tailing its prey. Listening by the door, he heard her mumbling and then she entered the dressing room.

He walked up to the door and noticed it was locked. No biggie. He thought. He pulled out a bottle of acid and poured it onto the door handle, destroying it completely. Silently opening the door, he saw her short ruffled dress fall to the floor gracefully. Her milky skin came into view and he licked his lips.

As if sensing someone starting at her, she turned behind her. The man from earlier stood there staring at her. "Pervert." she said. She kicked his guts hard and sent him flying into the wall. Reaching for the door handle, she realized it had been melted with acid. Lucky for her, there was also a curtain.

Pulling the curtain, she quickly changed her clothes. Picking up the soiled dress, she trashed it and left the toilet. "Hey sassy, at least hear me out." the man called out from behind her. Fortunately for him, he managed to block her path.

He sustained some small bruises from the kick earlier and he looked like he was in serious pain.

"Hey. I'm Dimitri. I'm 23, currently single but I think I've found her." His eyes swept over her whole body making her feel more disgusted than she already was. "I'm a minor." Gina said. Just as she was about to walk pass him, he asked, "How old can you be? 16? That's not minor." "13." she answered before she walked away.

Back in the present

"We seem to keep meeting here. It must be fate." Dimitri smirked. Regina looked at him, seemingly disinterested. "Last time we met, I didn't get to introduce myself properly. Hello, I'm Dimitri Deville. And you are?" "Not interested." she bluntly said.

Dimitri's attitude suddenly changed. "Listen. I know your type. Act all innocent but spend the night with rich men just to make a couple of bucks. I'm the Estate governor's son. If you drop this stupid act, I might consider marrying a whore like you." he sneered. Did I dress so cheaply tonight? Gina thought.

Something in his words suddenly caught her attention. "Did you say you were the Estate governor's son? Why didn't you say so sooner?" Imbecile. She dissed internally.

At the bar

"I would like another coconut cocktail." Rea ordered. "Blondie." a strikingly familiar voice said leaving Rea frozen. Slowly, she turned to her left to see that so blissful nightmare standing in front of her.

He looked more handsome than the last time she saw him. His dark brown hair was completely disheveled and his scorching brown eyes stared passionately at her. Her mind went into a complete mess. Her heart was accelerating uncontrollably and a feeling of dread washed over her.

Rea smiled sardonically then looked at Regina. She had a smug smirk on her face while she conversed with some stranger. "She knew he was here and she made me come over." Rea mumbled. Her eyes returned to meet his.

A zillion emotions swirled in Ricky as he looked at her. Since that night, he'd been having an incurable ache in his heart. But seeing her again gave him hope again and the pain in his heart slowly subsided.
