"I apologize, Young Alpha. He has an important meeting with other officials."
"Very well," Arion replied curtly.
The officials seemed to regard Arion as a lesser threat compared to his father, and they felt they could handle him more easily. They had come without their leader, believing that it wasn't necessary.
They underestimated Arion.
From her vantage point by the door, Lily had been observing their interactions. She had already noted the disrespect they showed towards Arion.
"They shouldn't underestimate Arion like that," Lily muttered quietly, her words caught by the attentive ears of the staff behind her.
