Hermione's P.O.V.

I watched as Ron shovelled food into his mouth.it was disgusting.Pansy has been trying to teach him table manners,but it just doesn't work.After 7 years of bad manners,I don't think he can change.

Ginny looks at me carefully.She looks away immediately when she catches my eye.I frown.What was wrong?Just then,the daily prophet drops down on my food.Ginny immediately snatches it away and throws it in the trash.i glare at her.

"Ginny!Why did you throw it away?I want to read it".She shakes her head and goes back to eating.i snatch the prophet from Harry who is moving to throw it away.I glance at the headline.I feel like a knife has stabbed my heart.I quickly read the article.I storm over to the Slytherin table and grab Draco's hand.He walks with me to an abandoned hallway.

Here's what the prophet says:

DRACO MALFOY CAUGHT IN BAR WITH ANOTHER GIRL!WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HERMIONE GRANGER?

I was walking into a bar for a pick me up and that's when I saw it.Draco Malfoy was dancing a slow dance with a blonde girl.They turned around and I saw that she wasn't the war heroine.It was a different girl.I immediately called them over for an interview.Here's a quote from Mr.Malfoy(the younger one):I needed a change of pace.All Granger does is read.She is way too boring.He left soon after taking the girl back to his place for some fun.Or at least,that's what he said.More to come on this story.

Hermione was in tears by the time they reached the hallway.I shake the paper at him."What is the meaning of this"I yell,mad.He looks scared and sad."Mia,I didn't do it.I was with you the whole day"."How can I trust you"I ask,thinking of different possible ways to get the truth.He thinks for a moment and says "Veritaserum".

I drag him back to the dorm and pull out a vial of Veritaserum from one o f the shelves.The professors put it there,so that couples can trust each other better.I pour 3 drops of it in his mouth.That should last for a few minutes.

I look at him.He seems very calm."Is this article true"I ask showing him the paper.He replies no.I nod and move to the next question."When is the last time you went to wherever this place is"."I have never been to that bar in my life.The last time I went to a bar was right after the war".I nod."Have you ever cheated on me"I ask hoping the answer was no.My wishes came true.After that the Veritaserum wears off and I hug him.

He rubs my back and leads me back to the great hall.I smile and whisper"I'm sorry". I head back to my seat.I grab a cinnamon roll and everyone looks at me as though I'm about to start crying.I smile."The article is fake"I tell everyone.They let out a sigh of relief.Ginny smiles and cheers."MY OTS HAS SAILED"!

I shake my head at her,still smiling.I head off to Charms around 20 minutes later and pretty much everyone knows it was fake thanks to Ginny.I am still a bit confused because the person in the interview looked like Draco.Maybe they used Polyjuice.I cleared my head and started practicing a new charm called Glisseo.
