halloween ball

Chap 11-It was the end of Transfiguration and Professor Mcgonagall had told Draco and Hermione to stay back at the end of class.tHey stood in front of her desk as she looked in her drawer for a piece of paper."Ah yes"she said pushing her glasses up."This is it".She handed the paper to them and left the classroom.Hermione grabbed the paper and read out loud:

"Dear head girl and head boy.You will be planing the Halloween ball.Hogwarts hopes to make it a tradition.I,Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore came up with idea before my passing.I wrote it down and gave it to Minerva in hopes that she will give it the new headboy and head girl.Now here are the requirements:

Dresses and suits.No robes allowed.

Only 4th year and above are allowed to attend.

Everything is Halloween themed and it is to be held on October 31st.

At the end of the night,we shall have a moment of silence for Harry's parents who died on that night.

No one can know about the ball until one week before.

That is all.Please start planning the ball

Hermione squealed with excitement."I can't believe we get to plan a ball"she said to Draco,who looked less than happy.He rolled his eyes."Who cares "?Hermione glared at him and started chattering away about all the things they could do.Since they were on their break,Hermione decided to sit under a willow tree and enjoy the sun.

Ginny walked up to them with Harry in tow."What are you so happy about Hermione"she asked sitting down next to her.Hermione smiled at her."Oh nothing".she said smiling brightly at them.

It was still 4 days before she could inform them.Ginny might kill her for not saying so earlier but Hermione had made a copy of the letter and intended to prove that she couldn't say so beforehand.

Ginny looked at her suspiciously."Alright"she said slowly."It's perfectly normal for her to be smiling so much for absolutely no reason,right"she asked Harry,who looked suspicious too.

Harry tilted his head to the side."Let's go figure this out"Ginny whispered to him as they walked to the lake.

Draco glared at Hermione.He had been sitting in the tree and thankfully had not been spotted by anyone.He dropped down and faced her."You are terrible at keeping secrets"he whispered to her.She rolled her eyes.

"Let's go inside"she said huffing.They walked in and ran straight into Peeves."Just our luck"Draco muttered before facing Peeves.He glared at the poltergeist until he finally floated through the opposite wall.

Hermione laughed."I think Peeves is scared of a new person"she said as she walked to Charms.Meanwhile,Draco headed off in the opposite direction to Potions.Professor Slughorn was teaching again and was favoring everyone but him and the Slytherins.He is the head of Slytherin.His own bloody house!
