Chapter 55: Journey Onwards.......

I will skip most of the islands important or useless doesn't matter, so don't complain me about every island.

Soon i will start the war arc, so get ready for the ultimate fun.

A few minutes later …

Robin stood in the tomb and was looking at the large stone, known as the poneglyph. She spent a few minutes reading the writing on it. Luffy, Vivi and the king kept their distance and looked from the corridor.

When she turned around, Vivi and Cobra were startled. She had tears falling down her face. She looked completely defeated.

'Ah Robin.' Luffy thought sadly.

" It wasn't it." she said simply and looked at the ground. "It tells the location of Pluton, like I thought. This was my final and only lead, but it isn't what I hoped it'd be."

" What did you want it to be? " the king asked.

" The Rio Poneglyph. Out of the poneglyphs existing in the world, it's the one stone that tells the True history. "

" The True history? " Luffy asked then added, " What a coincidence, i also want to know about the Void Century and the secret World Government is hiding from everyone. "

" Are you saying truth? " she asked him because it was the first time someone shared the same interest as her. Luffy nodded.

" Shanks told me about this. " Luffy lied. Everyone looked at him. " Everything from that period has been covered up by the government. But he didn't tell me what happened. "

" Shanks? " Robin repeated. "But how could he know what happened? Nobody knows." Luffy shook his head.

" Shanks does. " he told them. "But he said that if I want to know, I should find out on my own."

" You don't mean Red-Haired Shanks, one of the Four Emperors right? " Robin asked with a wide-eyed expression.

" He can't mean- " Cobra began.

" Yes. " Luffy interrupted. He ignored their shocked expressions and looked at Robin.

" Your dream is to learn of the Void century? " he asked her. She nodded.

" What a foolish dream … " Luffy told her. She looked down on the ground again.

" … but nowhere near as foolish as mine. " he finished and grinned. She looked at him with a shocked expression.

" You have nowhere to go, is that right? " he asked her. She shook her head sadly. " Then come with me and join my crew. "

" What? " she asked quietly. Vivi and Cobra looked at him.

" We all have really stupid and impossible dreams, Nico Robin. You'd fit right in. " Luffy answered.

" I don't know what to say. " Robin told him. Luffy grinned.

"Just say yes! " he shouted. She smiled.

" But is it really alright? " she asked. " I was your enemy. I helped Crocodile. "

" That's all in the past now. " he told her. " Besides, you helped us save Vivi's country. "

" He's right. " Vivi interjected. Robin looked at her in shock.

" You … " she whispered. Vivi simply smiled.

"Alright, Monkey D Luffy, I'll join your crew." she replied after a moment of silence.

The next day:-

Luffy's crew was currently enjoying celebratory party in the royal castle. The atmosphere was very cheerful. After taking care of the bomb, the rest of the crew also joined the banquet.

" Hey guys, let me introduce you to our new member, Nico Robin. " Luffy announced and gained everyone's attention and nodded at Robin.

Luffy pointed at Zoro and said, " The green haired sword maniac with scary face is Zoro. "

" Shut up. " Zoro snapped.

" That pink haired sexy lady is Reiju our cook. " He pointed at Reiju and said.

Then Luffy grinned, " That mean-looking orange head seductress is Nami our thief. " Nami glared at him. " Mean-looking? " Everyone asked.

" Now the good big sister type girl is Kaya our doctor and at her side is Nojiko. " Luffy said.

" That glutton who has been eating while ignoring everyone is Bonney and the last one is the tomboy type Yamato. " Luffy smiled, " That's all of our crew members for now. " Robin smiled at his ridiculous instructions.

" Some of you are meeting her first time, so let me introduce you, this mysterious-looking girl is Robin! " Luffy said and pointed at Robin. She quirked an eyebrow.

" Mysterious looking, Captain-san? " she asked with a somewhat wide-eyed expression. He nodded with a grin.

" You're mysterious, Robin. " he replied. " Kinda like those Poneglyph stones you're searching for. Also the mysterious aura around you is the thing i like most about you. "

" Let's celebrate for our victory and for our new member. Cheers...." Luffy extended his wine glass. " Cheers.." Everyone smiled raised their glasses and then gulped down the wine in one go.

Suddenly Luffy said, " I almost forgot about that book. " The man then removed a book from his coat pocket that had shown some wear and tear, having some burn marks on the seams from the Buster Call on Ohara all those years ago.

Flashback...

" Old man, what is this book? " asked Luffy.

Garp sighed, " I have found it after the buster call in Ohara, so i brought it with me. "

" That means it may be related to my Robin. " Asked Luffy.

Garp smacked his head, " You idiot, what your Robin. Did you really fall for her after just looking at her bounty poster. " He said in a grim tone, " Don't even think about that, if you associate with her in the future then you will also became the target of the World Government. So forget about this. "

Luffy took the book and grin, " i don't care about those bastards of World Government. " Then he ran out of the room with the book.

End of the flashback...

" I heard of what had happened to your native island of Ohara and had decided to see if there was anything there that could possibly help me on my journey and I had stumbled across this book. I found this in the wreckage on the island. " Luffy then opened the book to the back cover and presented the faces of everyone with a letter glued onto one of the pages. The letter itself was very simple, having no special attributes about it; but the name on the front of the parchment made everyone in the room go wide eyed.

Nami was the first to speak, " I-it's addressed to Robin!? "

" But why would Robin have a letter stashed in this old book? " Kaya asked as she looked up at Luffy.

Luffy stood up from his seat and closed the book, letting his hand holding it drop to his side as he spoke to the crew once again, " I don't know who wrote the letter, nor do I know the contents inside. But I do got a pretty good idea of the author. "

" Who's that Luffy? " Yamato questioned as she sat cross legged on a piece of wood.

" Well when I first discovered it I glossed through the pages quickly just to get an idea of what was in it until I stumbled across the author's name, Nico Oliva. So that leads my to believe that this letter is from her as well. "

Robin was shocked to learn this as she went wide eyed and continued to stare at the book. " I trust this person meant something to you Robin? " Luffy asked as the lady slowly nodded her head in response.

" She was my mother. " Robin answered as the rest of the crew dare not speak up, listening intently on the conversation

Luffy did a slow nod as he outstretched his arm and handed the book to Robin, " I had a feeling that might be the case so here take this. "

Robin took the book slowly from his firm hands and turned it open to the page with the letter. She then torn the parchment off of the page it was glued to and opened the packaging.

She swiftly read the contents of the letter and the crew watched on as a few stray tears began to fall down her elegant face.

" W-what does it say Robin? " Nojiko quietly asked.

She wiped her eyes as she looked down at the letter once again and spoke, " It says, no matter the circumstances, or hardships you may face, remember where you came from and don't be oppressed by anyone. Live free Robin, I'm sorry I can't be with you in your times of peril but I'll always live on in your heart. With all my love, your mother, Nico Oliva. "

Without warning, Robin extended her arms around Luffy's cloaked body and squeezed him tight, her head leaning against his chest as she looked up to him with teary eyes. " Thank you. " Was all she spoke as Luffy just smiled back at her and wrapped his arm around her back, returning the hug for a few seconds before they both separated.

Luffy told her, " Alright could you show them your cool powers, Robin? "

She crossed her arms and two hands grew out of everyone's body, one on each side. Everyone gasped at her power except Nojiko and Zoro who knew beforehand.

" Can you only grow hands? " Zoro asked her. Robin shook her head, " No i can use every organ and can do much more than that. " Suddenly Luffy wore a perverted grin while thinking about the different sex positions she could offer.

Robin flinched and asked Luffy while looking at his perverted grin, " Captain san, you are not thinking about something lewd, are you??? " Everyone looked at Luffy with suspicion.

Luffy came back to his senses and faked a cough, " Ahem....no no definite not. " Robin still looked at him suspiciously, while Zoro chuckled from the sidelines.

Overall… that night had been fun... in a way…

Now, at the crack of dawn, they had rode a group of ducks to the coast. After boarding the ship they set out for their new adventure.
