The End

Lu Ye Ze thought that what he had feared the most had just happened. The lack of blood flow had affected his wife's brain. Had she lost her memories? If she did, did he remember him at all? He once thought that they started on the wrong foot and he wanted to change the course of faith, but now... Now it was different, she had accepted him with all his faults and if he was to start over and hide the way they've met, he would be lying.

Jo's eyes started focusing on the man at the door, he was dressed casually and looked a bit haggard, he stood there motionless in the door frame, while the doctors and nurses were hustling and bustling around her. She had her fists squeezed tight. In the next second her vision became clear. Her pupils dilated and seized the man up and down stopping her gaze at his face. She looked straight into his eyes and realised that, that man was Lu Ye Ze, her husband. Jo opened her mouth and called.

"Darling?"

The sudden sound, stopped the man's trail of thoughts, the call resounding thorough his whole body, her sweet voice had just brought him back to Earth. She recognized him, his wife had just called him and he only stood there without knowing what to say. This was the biggest miracle for him, his wife woke up and she was okay, but soon he would learn that actually, she wasn't.

Lu Ye Ze run towards her side and took her hand. "I am here Ri-El... I am sorry... it's all my fault!" Said the man holding her hand, while his head was bowed before her. His eyes instantly welling up, tears flowing down his face.

Jo's heart hurt tremendously seeing him like this, she lifted her hand above his head and tousled his hair.

"Darling there's something..." Jo put her other hand before him and opened her fist. She was holding an injection.

Lu Ye Ze lifted his head and looked at her hand. "Your father injected me with this..." Lu Ye Ze's face turned pale instantly. He took the injection from her hand and realised there was a bit of serum left. At least he could have it tested and figure out what it contained, but he already knew that it must have been the worse type of poison.

"We need to prepare the patient for testing!" The doctor informed. Lu Ye Ze looked at his wife like he didn't want to part ways with her yet. He lowered his body and kissed her softly on her forehead. "I am going to be outside!"

Jo looked at him reluctantly, she noticed his change of expression and now she had became anxious, what did that injection contained.

Outside the ward, Dong Zai was waiting for new orders. Lu Ye Ze came out and gave him the injection. "Find out what this is and give me the antidote in two hours!". Dong Zai retrieved the injection and placed it in a plastic envelope, then he disappeared.

Lu Ye Ze fell pensive, he didn't expect his Great Grandfather to take action through his parents, so he had to bring his counter attack forward as well. He took out his phone and dialled a number, after a single ring, the person at the other end answered.

"Yes!"

"Do you have the date?" Lu Ye Ze asked.

"The day after tomorrow, 9:30am".

That was the only information he needed. Lu Ye Ze terminated the call and gave the signal. Two days from now, he would be revealing the end to all of this.
