Madam Lu

Suddenly a pair of steps were heard in the stables and disrupted Jo's thoughts. She lifted her head and their eyes met. Jo's reaction was to quickly hide, so she crouched down and hid behind the horse. "Fudge!! He already saw me, why did I hide?!" Jo whispered to her self, ah... what a cringe reaction. In the mean time, the man bent down as well, wanting to make eye contact with her, from the other side of the horse. "What are you doing?" Jo's face instantly turned red. "Ummm... I dropped the brush... you are home early!" Jo managed to pull her self out of that cringe situation. Lu Ye Ze, chuckled lightly "Haha ha..." He hadn't finished teasing her yet, so he added. "I missed you!"

Arrival

A week later, Jo was getting ready to attend the Knox Group Christmas party. She wore a nude, lace dress. It had a shirt collar around the neck and a see through net covered the upper part of her chest. An array of small pearl buttons, travelled from the back of her neck, all the way down to her waist.

Her black long and wavy hair, was pulled in a loose bun at the back of her head. She completed her outfit, with a pair of pearl stud earrings and nude high heels.

She was looking forward for this evening, as one of her idols would be present tonight. Robert D. Croft was a renowned architect, an apprentice of Thomas Heatherwick and the lead architect for, the now one of London's iconic landmarks, The Shard.

Compared to him, Jo was nothing in her field of work.

The party was held at Corinthia Hotel, one of the most luxurious hotels in the capital. The venue's interior, was of a modern white extravagance. Grand crystal chandeliers were populating the hotel's ceilings, while velvet upholstered furniture, was carefully selected to compliment each corner.

The party of three arrived at the venue by cab. Her superiors, Chris Newman and Nathaniel Worsley, two of the shareholders of Foster&Partners, were attending the party along with her this evening.

Jack the frost man, has been very generous this year, the fresh snow was falling down spectacularly. The ground and surroundings, were all dressed in a white fresh layer of snow, making this night especially magical.

The sighting of the hotel's entrance was marvellous. The venue was decorated according to the festive season, the multitude of fairy lights were twinkling brightly, colouring the night sky.

Inside the ballroom, the atmosphere was lively and pleasant. Most of the quests were already present, so the group of three went to greet the host and mingle through the crowd.

After they greeted the host, the two gentlemen started talking with Mr. Barrowman about sports, so Jo decided she should let them be and headed to the bar to order herself a drink. To her surprise Robert was there, socialising with a group of people. Jo was thinking on how to strike a conversation with him. She admired him from afar for a very long time and besides the fact that he was very talented, he was quite handsome as well.

At only 29 years old, he achieved so much in his career. He had a numerous prestigious projects under his belt, for which he received several awards and propelled him to become one of the most renowned young architects in the UK. Some even said that he had surpassed his teacher.

At the entrance of the venue a black car came to a halt. A man stepped out, followed by his assistant. The porter came to their aid, while Mr. Barrowman was immediately informed of their arrival.
