Selection Tournament(Part-06)

"Fuck you, Oliver. Do you have any idea what are you doing? I have been waiting for years for this day and you had to get between us. Do you know how much I love her? Why do you had to get between us? I will definitely kill you. I will definitely ruin your spirit." He roared.

"Selene-sama, We have already confessed our feeling for you. We want to hear your respond." I said to Selene-sama while ignoring Ryan.

Hearing that she went silent for a while and after that she smiled faintly and spoke, "I do think I have someone I love and he is currently here. I will confess my feeling for him here after the battle. So, I want you guys to work hard and make this battle grand."

"You heard that, right?" I looked at Ryan.

Ryan smiled a bit and said, "Ya, bet."

As I stepped onto the field, I took a deep breath and tried to steady my nerves. This was it. The final match of the season. And my opponent, Ryan, was one of the strongest trainers I had ever faced.

I released my Shinx onto the field and felt a wave of excitement and determination flow through me. Shinx's tail flicked back and forth eagerly, and I knew he was ready for this. Ryan released his Houndour, a fierce-looking Pokemon with sharp teeth and a menacing growl.

"Are you ready?" Ryan asked with a smirk.

I nodded, trying to hide my nerves. "Let's do this."

The two Pokemon circled each other, sizing each other up. I knew I needed to make the first move, but I didn't want to rush in too quickly. Ryan was an expert strategist, and I didn't want to fall into any traps.

But before I could even decide on a plan of attack, Houndour made the first move. He launched an Ember attack, and I watched as the flames licked towards Shinx. I knew I had to act fast.

"Shinx, use Thunder Shock!" I shouted.

Shinx quickly launched a bolt of lightning at Houndour, but the dark-type Pokemon was too quick. He dodged the attack easily and charged forward, using Smog to create a thick cloud of noxious gas.

I watched as Shinx stumbled back, coughing and gagging. This wasn't good. If he couldn't see or breathe properly, he wouldn't be able to battle effectively.

"Houndour, finish it with Leer!" Ryan shouted.

Houndour's eyes glowed with a menacing red light, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I knew that Leer could lower Shinx's defense, making him more vulnerable to attacks.

But I wasn't going to give up that easily. I knew Shinx had some tricks up his sleeve, and I was determined to use them to our advantage.

"Shinx, use Charge!" I commanded.

Shinx's body glowed as he charged up his energy, and I could feel the excitement building in the crowd. This was it. The moment we had been training for.

Houndour launched another Ember attack, but this time Shinx was ready. He used Leer to lower Houndour's defense, then followed up with Thunder Shock. The lightning bolt hit Houndour head-on, and I could see the shockwave ripple through his body.

Ryan's face contorted in anger. "Get up, Houndour! You can do this!"

Houndour let out a fierce howl and charged forward, using Tackle to knock Shinx back. Shinx stumbled, but he wasn't done yet.

"Shinx, use Thunder Shock!" I shouted.

Shinx launched another bolt of lightning, but this time it was different. It crackled with a new intensity, and I watched as Houndour struggled to stay on his feet.

"Houndour, use Howl!" Ryan shouted.

Houndour let out a fierce howl, and I could feel the energy around him start to shift. His attacks would be even stronger now. But I wasn't about to back down.

"Shinx, use Tackle!" I commanded.

Shinx charged forward, his body crackling with electricity. He slammed into Houndour with all his might, and I could feel the impact from across the field.

Houndour staggered, but he wasn't down yet. He launched another Ember attack, and I watched as Shinx tried to dodge it. But he wasn't quick. Both of them were on the ground. But Shinx hate to lose. He stood up.

As Houndour struggled to get back on its feet, I knew we had to finish this quickly. I looked over at Shinx, who was still glowing with energy from his previous attack. "Shinx, use Thunder Shock again!"

Shinx let out a loud roar as he fired another bolt of lightning at Houndour. The dark-type Pokemon tried to dodge, but the Thunder Shock hit him square in the chest, knocking him back to the ground.

Ryan gritted his teeth as he watched his Pokemon struggle to get back up. "Come on, Houndour, you can do this! Use Smog!"

Houndour coughed out a cloud of dark smoke, but it didn't seem to affect Shinx. He charged forward again, ready to finish the battle.

"Houndour, use Leer!" Ryan shouted desperately.

But it was too late. Shinx was too quick, too strong. He tackled Houndour with all his might, and the dark-type Pokemon fell to the ground, defeated.

"Houndour is unable to battle, Shinx wins. The winner is Oliver." Bertha-san announced.

The crowd erupted in cheers as Shinx stood triumphantly over Houndour. I felt tears of joy stream down my face as I ran over to my Pokemon and lifted him into my arms. "We did it, Shinx! We won the battle!"

Shinx let out a triumphant roar, and I knew that this was a moment we would never forget. As we basked in the glory of our victory, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the bond we shared.

"Houndour return." Ryan said while being pissed off, "You will remember for what you did, Oliver."

Saying that, he began to leave the room.

"Wait, you haven't claimed your gift yet." Eva-san told him.

"There is nothing for me to claim. I have to admit that I have lost." he said and left the room.
