Lune's Blood [BL] [On Hold - Under Major Rewrite]

Klein, an aspiring biologist, had no interest in things that science couldn’t explain—like vampires, werewolves, and all the sorcery involving them. But all his life plans went down the drain one night when he got involved in a supernatural encounter, challenging everything he believed in. As more werewolves lost their sentience and succumbed to their bestial instincts, the peace between two worlds began to crumble. To make matters worst, Alpha candidates and secret organizations started coming after him, claiming he had a special blood that can cure a mythical curse. These lunatics were too hung up with the idea that Klein was the blessed human in a goddamn prophecy. And they stopped at nothing to get their hands on him, forcing Klein to rely on a handsome beast hunter—an old friend shrouded with hidden intention. In pursuit of the rarest blood on Earth, the light of the moon led Klein and the creatures of the night to a crossroads plagued with lunacy, atrocity, and... love? No freaking way. Not when Klein was a selfish scum who wouldn’t let anyone into his heart, much less get a drop of his extraordinary blood—the Lune's Blood. ——— Warnings: Graphic depiction of violence/ Strong language/ Erotic content (maybe? Calix Vs. Khalil

The werewolf can talk?

Calix had never heard of a werewolf in this form gain back the ability of human speech. The shifting process usually messed up their voice-box, or so the notes of his father said. Was he shifting back?

Steam continued to arise from the werewolf's body—an indication of a shift. Although Khalil's face was still covered with fur for Maya to recognize him, his snout had shortened, so he was definitely shifting back to human form.

"Go and find Klein," Calix instructed Maya. "He should be on my motorbike outside the school fence. Hopefully. No, I hope he already left, but please check, just in case."

"You... really are Klein's boyfriend, aren't you?" Maya asserted that made the werewolf's claws twitch.

Calix only jerked his head to the broken door, not bothering to correct her, as the werewolf seemed to react to the idea quite badly. But the linger of the kiss he stole sent a hopeful feeling in him that maybe... something favorable was waiting for them to explore after all this mess was over.

Maya dashed out of the door with no problem, leaving Calix alone with Khalil.

It irked Calix that the pronunciation of their name was almost the same. Calix and Khalil. Khalil and Calix. It's as if they were long-lost brothers in a tragic set up where one had to die in the hands of the other because they were mortal enemies.

At the loud ting of metal against the floor, Calix's grip on the gun tightened. The bullet was already being pushed out of the werewolf's body. It meant the gunshot wounds were already healing.

Was Khalil reversing the shift so he could heal himself? That was a wise move, but it would also leave him more vulnerable, as shifting would spend a lot of stamina. Unless he had already replenished his energy by consuming meat.

"Have you killed anyone in here?" Calix asked.

Khalil's luminous ambers turned to him. His head had almost retained its human skull shape that almost made him look like more of an ape than a werewolf, but his body wasn't changing. He opened his mouth, showing his wolf canines. "I... don't know... Don't... remember... much..."

Calix side-stepped and edged closer to the door, still pointing his gun to Khalil's head. "What do you mean when you said Klein is in danger? What are you planning to do? Why do you want to turn him into a monster like you!"

"That's not... my... intention..."

"Bullshit! You scratched him!"

"That's an... accident..."

Now standing behind the werewolf's kneeling form, Calix unsheathed his silver dagger from his waist and put the gun in its holster. He fisted a handful of fur on the werewolf's nape and placed the dagger's edge to Khalil's neck. "Accident, my ass. That's been your plan all along!"

"Can't... deny that... But... I didn't intend to... turn him through a scratch." Khalil sniggered in a sickening way as he craned his neck to stare at Calix. "I'm ought to... mate with him... under the moonlight. Until you... destroyed all of my plans!"

Calix's eyes widened as a clawed hand clutched his wrist, and in a blink of an eye, Khalil threw him across the room. He gasped in pain as his back crashed against a row of desk, breaking some of them.

Khalil rose from his knelt position; his wounds all healed, his face protruding again into a wolf's snout. His roar thundered, and with a mighty kick against the floor, he had leaped to Calix with extended claws.

Calix rolled away and hurled a chair that splintered to pieces upon contact, then dashed towards the door. He didn't look back. He sprinted into the empty hallway at full speed, knowing the werewolf was hot on his trail.

Upon passing by a red box with a water hose, fire extinguisher, and an axe, Calix halted and used the hilt of the dagger to break the glass. He pulled the axe from its confinement just as Khalil swung his claws at his head.

White powder burst as Khalil's pointed claws hit the fire extinguisher, creating a cloud of dust in the dim hallway. With the nearby light coming from the still lit bulbs, the silhouette of the werewolf turned more vicious as it advanced towards him.

Calix gripped the axe's handle with both hands, his heart pumping excitement to his arms. He smirked. "Come at me, you shit! I'm not scared of you."

The punctured fire extinguisher cylinder rolled to his combat boots, still releasing powder from the pressurized air. Calix kicked it off as Khalil suddenly wedged through the cloud of chemicals, hitting him square in the snout.

But Khalil didn't seem affected. He only scoffed and charged again, swinging his arm to slash at Calix's neck.

Unfazed, Calix dodged skillfully and delivered a blow to the back of Khalil's knee, almost cutting his leg with the axe. The werewolf's blood splattered to his cheek, but he only thumbed it away as a pained cry erupted from the beast. "If you still have remaining sentience in your dumb brain, then put this in your thick-ass skull, werewolf."

Khalil snarled at him and limped away, suddenly wary of Calix.

"I am Calixto Magtanggol." Calix smirked at his self-introduction, his prismatic eyes glinting ominously amidst the powdery mist surrounding them. "And I serve wolf meat for breakfast. So when I said I'm not scared of you, it's not a fake act of bravery. I fucking mean it!"

Fear widened Khalil's luminous eyes as Calix raised the axe over his shoulder, ready to strike again, but several approaching footsteps halted them both.

"Drop your weapon and surrender!"

Calix cursed under his breath while Khalil used that chance to crawl away into the end of the hallway with his bleeding leg. He paid it no heed and trailed after the escaping werewolf, but with the unmistakable sound of heavy guns being pointed at him, he stopped.

"I repeat, drop your weapon and surrender! This is the SAF police!"

Shit! They sent the police force's elite action squad?!

That just ruined Calix's cool introduction. LOL!
