Where The Evil Energy Came From

Some of the students gasped as Louisanna lost consciousness and fell on the floor. Gianna was able to catch her head so it wouldn't hit the floor, only to whimper and bite her lip tightly as she felt the black smoke infiltrate her skin.

Even with the pain, she continued to hold her as she couldn't trust her with anyone else at this point.

"I'll take her to the clinic," she told Ashley, their class president. "May you excuse us from this class today? This is an emergency."

Gianna stood up and pulled Louisanna who was unconscious beside her.

"I can excuse her…" Ashley's right index finger pointed at Louisanna. "But not you. You need to come back here after you accompany her to the clinic, or else I'll tell the professor that you cut her class."

"Okay," Gianna answered in a low tone.

What did she expect? Ashley is one heck of a professional. She won't let any emotions affect the way she obeys the rules at this university.

She placed Louisanna's hand on her shoulder as she started to carry her in a bridal style. Some of the students, especially the male students, gasped at what she had done.

'It was just a piece of cake. I didn't become a spirit guide if I can't do an easy task like this,' she told herself as she scanned the shocked expressions of her classmates before she walked effortlessly outside the room.

People surrounding the place made their way for Gianna as they noticed that she was panting a bit while carrying her friend. Some male students offered to help her carry Louisanna but she declined.

Carrying Louisanna isn't the main issue here. The only thing that made the sweat drip on her forehead was Domhall's energy traveling onto Louisanna's body.

Louisanna needs to remember everything for her to be able to self-heal.

But how is she able to heal herself if she lost her memory from all those lifetimes?

That's what happened to Domhall, too, but given what he was doing toward her, maybe he remembers what Louisanna meant for him.

Maybe he wanted her back, but she won't let it happen.

"Are there any vacant beds here?" Gianna asked the nurse as soon as she entered the clinic. "My friend fainted."

"Yes… The bed on the corner. No one occupied that," the nurse answered as she assisted them to the bed.

Gianna carefully lay down Louisanna on the bed. She sighed as she could see the black smoke encircling her body as she was unconscious.

The strange black energy becomes stronger every second.

She saw how Louisanna whimpers as she moved a little, feeling a little bit uncomfortable as the smoke get darker.

'I can't imagine how painful it would be for you, as it felt unbearable for mine,' Gianna said at the back of her mind as she stared again at her fingertips.

It looks like it becomes rotten if she won't do something about it. Only she can see this power and not anyone else… humans.

What she can only do was stare at her as she can't be a help at this rate. It was a battle between her human self and her hidden and forbidden powers.

Gianna didn't know what could be Domhall's plan, but she was nothing compared to a demon king. It would look like a battle between an ant and a giant.

"I will come back to her. I need to check the other patient first," the nurse told her as she walked away from them.

As soon as the nurse got out of their sight, Gianna took the chance to summon her angel form. A white glimpse of light started to encircle her body as she closed her eyes and waved her hand.

In a split second, she was not Gianna in her human form anymore, but Louisanna's spirit guide.

"Shit. Why is it suddenly so cold?" she heard the nurse complain on the other side of the room.

It was because of her presence as an angel. It's been a long time since she transformed into her angel form, but it was an emergency.

She needs to clean the negative energies coming from her master, but she can't do it in her human form. Some of her angel powers were unavailable if she was concealing her real form.

Gianna wears a white dress with a spaghetti strap on her collarbone. The dress was made of feathers she obtained from her older sister.

It may be harsh to get someone's feathers after their death, but it was her sister's wish as her feathers obtain a power she can transfer to her once she obtained her most important property.

It may look like an item of ordinary clothing for the other angels, but her sister Hannah wasn't an ordinary angel.

She was once the spirit guide of the angel queen, and she also died because of protecting the queen.

She promised herself she would take her sister's path, and she won't let the same thing happen again. No one would need to die, and no demons could ever take their people.

Especially Louisanna, or Luna. She spent four lifetimes monitoring and protecting her.

"Heal."

As soon as Gianna said those words, an impeccable kind of light started to light in her direction as she felt how her power increased.

Her fingertips went back to normal as the pain she felt earlier faded away. She can see the white power traveling into her veins.

It was easy for her to eliminate the black energy she got by touching Louisanna, but she knows it would be slightly challenging when she used her powers on the woman crooking onto her bed.

Gianna bowed lightly towards Louisanna as she placed her right hand in front of her body. She closed her eyes and the wind started to get strong with their surroundings.

She felt her hair get winded but she didn't stop. As she feels how her powers get intense, that's the time she can sense the strange energy reacting from Louisanna's body.

It was strong enough for her to feel the blood dripping from her nose as soon as she inflicted the light on her.

'It was different. I know that I couldn't remove this but I must try. Luna might die permanently in this lifetime, and I won't allow that,' Gianna said to herself. It was full of conviction.

Like her sister, she would also be a great spirit guide protecting the angels from danger.

"With the power of the light and the angels near me, I command you to heal."

It was a power from the queen she had obtained when the queen herself gave her the authority to use it in emergencies like this.

She wondered when she would be able to use this as all of the things that happened in the previous lifetimes didn't call for a circumstance like this. Domhall is not the demon king in those lifetimes, but now that he had his powers reawakened, everything changed.

It only took her a minute to unleash a major of his power on Louisanna. The light continued forming as Louisanna whimpered in pain.

She could feel how the black energy started to extract from her body.

At the back of her mind, she thought that what she was doing right now looks like an exorcism.

Gianna felt goosebumps on her skin as she heard a loud scream in both of her ears. Her knees trembled as she realized it sounded like Louisanna herself, but she diverted her attention again to her power until she noticed that her friend was gone back to normal.

She stumbled on the floor as she felt a major decrease in her power.

"Finally—"

But she wasn't able to finish her sentence as she noticed how the black energy summoned from her body as Louisanna groaned again because of the pain.

No one can hear her as they were in a different dimension because of her angel form.

Gianna crawled lightly away from Louisanna as she noticed that the black smoke intensified within a millisecond. At that time, her heart pounded as her whole body shook in fear. The black light would consume her.

That strange black energy didn't come from the demon… and Gianna had her eyes widened when she realized where it came from.
