DANA looked at Louisanna with concern and worry in her eyes as she lightly caressed her daughter's hand with her thumb. She thought that Louisanna might have a hard time accepting everything— as her normal, peaceful life looked a complicated turn like this.
But she was wrong.
Nothing in her expectations happened as Louisanna just showed her a weak smile and placed one hand on top of hers.
"I know, mom," Louisanna said as she tried to make her smile genuine. However, she couldn't as sadness was evident in her tone. "The day that I had gone to the Inferno with Domhall was also the time that everyone wanted to kill me."
A sigh escaped from her lips. She stared into the window where she could see the shiny, bright sun in which the sunlight had direct contact with her skin.
"It's okay," Louisanna added as her smile didn't even reach her eyes. "You know, I didn't care at all."
It's a lie.
