Ophelia's POV
When Dr. Stravato dismissed class, Ophelia found her way nervously over to the woman's side.
"You wanted to see me?" Ophelia asked.
"Yes. Do you know if your parents had any special abilities?" Dr. Stravato asked.
"Not to my knowledge, ma'am."
Dr. Stravato nodded.
"Did you know that sometimes, people can cast their abilities onto others?" she asked.
"I'm not sure I know what you mean by that," Ophelia answered.
"You see, I'm a shield, like Ms. Georgia found out she was earlier in class. The thing is, I'm able to cast that ability onto others around me, as well. That's why I'm confident that this exercise is safe. No one can get hurt because if I see they have no powers to protect themselves, I can simply shield them myself. I've gotten very good at reading students in all my years doing this," Dr. Stravato explained.
Ophelia nodded, though she was completely and utterly lost when it came to understanding what this had to do with her.
