Chapter 17: Gotcha!

Shayla ran with every ounce of force she could pull from her animal form and finally caught up to the mystery wolf. She wasn't going to give him a chance to explain himself. She was just going to kick his a*s.
She pushed off the ground, soaring into the air and landing on top of the wolf. He winced and threw her off and she found him on top of her. She wasn't having that and used all four of her legs to push him off, sending him into the air and landing hard on the ground. He got up and ran towards her, using his body weight to thrust her to the ground once again. He put himself on her, using his two legs to hold her down.
She stared into his eyes. They weren't evil or threatening. They were kind. They lingered there for a moment and then she shoved him off of her and backed up a few feet. She changed into her human form and waited on him to do the same.
