Chapter 11: Change Can Be Good

The newfound freedom that Shayla had discovered had her feeling light as air. She put so many worries behind her. She only wished she could share this new information with Evan, but she couldn't. He had no idea she was a hybrid. She didn't know how she would even tell him.
Or, better yet, how he would react.
She had no desire to lose her best friend so her secret would remain a secret. At least for now.
There was one person in which she could share her discovery with.
Hadley.
After all, he was a hybrid too and she wanted him to understand who he was and that he needn't be afraid of change. After all, change could be a good thing.
"Natalie, I think I am going to take Hadley out for a bit today. We need some bonding time. I have been so busy with work and such that I have been neglectful," said Shayla as she made a cup of coffee.
