Every now and then, Alicia would still a quick look at Wyrran who was eating happily, noticing her gaze, he looked up and smiled like he did before. "Something the matter?" She didn't expect a question from him, she hesitated before answering "Are you from here? I mean Atresiral." Alicia asked shyly and looking away.
"No, I'm not from here. I'm from another kingdom in another country, the kingdom's name is Phuria. I'm a prince and I'm here to marry the princess." Wyrran didn't remove the grin from his face after saying this, he looked into her eyes as well.
"So you're the man she's marrying." she said quietly but Wyrran could still pick up what she said through his enhanced hearing, after all, he is an elf. In response, he didn't say anything, instead he just stared at her for a few minutes before nodding slowly 'But the thing is, you still need to be told the truth.' he thought.
Continuing the eat, Wyrran had broken the silence that had fell before them "When is your birthday?"
Alicia was dumbfounded by his question "Pardon?" looking up to meet his gaze. "Your birthday, when is it Alicia?"
"Tomorrow, its my eighteenth." she quickly said to not irritate the man in front of her. "You'll meet the King Ayre and Queen Ahshala at twelve in the afternoon for lunch. Oh, and we'll have company also, I hope that doesn't bother you my dear."
"I'll meet the King and Queen?" Wyrran nodded at this, "Will Ziva be accompanying us?" Alicia asked looking at him, with slight shock and nervousness but still showing a smile on her face. "She will be, but in her fox form."
"I see. I hope she doesn't bite anyone." They both laughed at this comment "Yes yes, I hope she doesn't bite anyone too, or it'd be bad." Wyrran added. "We should finish our breakfast, we still have things to prepare for."
"I agree." Ziva said from the sidelines. They had forgotten all about her! "If I bite anyone, its going to be either you Alicia, or Wyrran! I'd be careful at what you say." Wyrran and Alicia looked back and forth between themselves and Ziva. 'I have a bad feeling about this' Alicia commented to herself.
After finishing their food, Ziva and Wyrran had taken Alicia to be shown around the palace grounds, for a while, Wyrran had spoken to Alicia about his kingdom: its history, the people in it, his family and how its peaceful.
"Alicia." Ziva had called her name to get her attention, "Through these doors is our garden. Would you like to have a look?" Alicia looked at the prince beside her and he nodded for an indication that she should look, "Sure, I'll love to." she said with a smile.
Wyrran grabbed Alicia's hand and took it in his. She was stunned and surprised to the core, she really wasn't expecting him to grab her hand. A nearby maid had saw the scene in front of her and smiled to the thought of him finding happiness.
Alicia stared at Wyrran before moving, noticing he had a really happy smile on his lips that was gleaming, she didn't want to wreck it and make it disappear so she allowed him to hold her hand. Walking into the gardens, she saw how much effort went into designing the layout for the plants and for the water fountain right in the middle of the area.
"Wow, this really is beautiful, thank you for allowing me to look at a such place." Looking from left to right repeatedly, she saw different types of flowers- lilies, amaryllises, anemones, roses and other types.
Wyrran still had Alicia's hand in his and he guided themselves further into the garden, leaving Ziva waiting, the ground had turned into a dirt path with some high and small green trees. On one of the trees she saw had a swing dangling down, sitting still. Other trees had chirping birds singing away, creating wonderful sounds.
"I wasn't joking before Prince Wyrran, this place is really beautiful and I'm thankful for being brought here." Alicia was looking at him with such happiness, it felt like she didn't want the happiness to stop and leave her alone.
"Since when have I told you to call me 'Prince Wyrran'?" He had stopped right next to her and walked in front to get a better view of her. Seeing that she didn't answer but stare at him with no words planning to come out, he continued "Please, you don't need to call me that, just call me Wyrran like you have been, Alicia."
Seeing his smile vanish, she snapped out of staring and answered "I'm sorry Wyrran, it won't happen again."
"Good. I also have something to tell you." Hearing this, Alicia tilted her head to the side a bit and her face was filled with confusion. "Promise me you won't get scared or mad?" His smile had returned but it didn't reach his eyes.
He really didn't want her to be angered or afraid. "It depends on what it is." She turned the smile to assure him that even if its something little, she wouldn't be mad or scared. Having a smile on her face gave Wyrran courage to smile and speak.
"I'm the stranger you met when you were in Salem. What I said was true, I was only making sure you were okay." He spoke softly, his mind creating scenarios that could happen and he wish that non of them would come true.
Noticing that she isn't responding, his smile completely vanished and started to worry. He continued speaking, disregarding his title as prince for the situation "Please, please don't hate me Alicia. I never intended to hurt you.". His eyes were filling up with sadness.
After processing the information, she looked up to see Wyrran's eyes filled with disappointment and sadness.
Wyrran noticed her movement and before he could speak again, Alicia had gave him a hug "It's fine. Did you actually think I'll hate you or be afraid of you?". He was utterly at lost, he didn't know how to respond, 'should I hug her back and say something?' he thought. Thinking it was the right thing to do, he embraced her back tightly, he spoke softly with his head on her shoulder.
"I honestly did".
