New Fish

Standing before the grand golden door, Abigail and Dylan stood, their presence seemingly small compared to its magnificence. Abigail's nervous energy was palpable as she rubbed her hands together, apprehension evident in her actions. Dylan, noticing her unease, offered her a reassuring smile, his gaze gentle yet encouraging.

"I'm opening the door, miss," Dylan informed, his voice calm yet authoritative. With a swift scan of his ID, the door gradually swung open, unveiling a stunning meeting hall adorned with exquisite paintings adorning the walls, each stroke capturing hues of cool, soothing colors.

Lost in his own thoughts, Lucky sat upon his chair-like throne, his mind drifting until a familiar scent of chamomile stirred his senses, coaxing him back to the present moment. His gaze instinctively sought her out, locking onto her form with an intensity that bordered on hunger. As their eyes met, she returned his stare with a glare that spoke volumes, silently conveying a warning that echoed in the depths of her gaze: 'I will pluck out your eyes.'

He smiles as he observe her from head to toe, the kneel length yellow flay gown she is wearing make her look cute and voluptuous, as her round chocolate eyes stare at him like a lost rabbit, he just find it hard to take his eye off her. He has never seen anyone as beautiful as her.

As she entered the meeting hall, all eyes turned towards her, their gazes converging upon her figure as she made her way through the room. Some observers frowned, their expressions betraying a sense of curiosity mixed with skepticism. In hushed tones, whispers rippled through the room as speculation arose about her identity.

"Who is she?" one of the seated staff members whispered to another, their voices barely audible amidst the murmurs of the room.

"I don't know, but I heard the boss just employed a new assistant. Maybe she is the one," came the reply, tinged with uncertainty.

" I also heard she's a rude type" another said.

" Oh!, we Will teach her some manners then".

Bowing her head respectfully, she greeted everyone in the hall as she made her way toward Lucky. With a slight inclination of her body, she offered a formal greeting to him before standing by his side, holding a stack of files in her hand.

As she stood there, a calm and sweet scent emanated from her, filling the air around them. Its presence seemed to have a mesmerizing effect on him, stirring something deep within him. He found himself inexplicably drawn to her, his senses heightened by her sweet aroma.

Inhaling her scent, he felt a surge of arousal coursing through him, leaving him momentarily dazed as he marveled at how his body reacted so intense to her marnresence

"So you've got a new fish, Mr. Lucky," William, the CEO of Xtra company, interjected. His words broke the moment, causing Lucky's smile to vanish, replaced by a steely glare. Abigail furrowed her brows, puzzled by the term "new fish."

" what do you mean New fish"

Luçky asked anger evident in his voice

"Oh, Mr. Lucky, I know you understand what I just said, there's no need to go deep. And yes, beauty, won't you introduce yourself? I think you are new to everyone here," William said, addressing Abigail.

Abigail look at everyone in the hall then at lucky giving him a look asking if she is allowed to say anything he nod his head slowly giving her a go ahead. She move to the front of the table and stood so everyone could see her

"Good morning everyone," Abigail began, her voice clear and composed. "My name is Abigail Qin, and I am the newly employed personal assistant of Mr. Lucky Dymon, who is the CEO of this company. I look forward to cooperating with each and every one of you. Thank you." As she finished, everyone welcomed her with applause.

"Oh, nice, so your name is Abigail," Mr. Williams repeated, extending his hand for a shake. Abigail looked down at his hand, then back to his face before shaking it. However, the way he touched her during the shake was not respectful, and the look he gave her disgusted her. She stylishly yanked her hand away and went back to stand beside Lucky.

Lucky noticed the brief exchange between William and Abigail, but he diverted his gaze, attempting to calm his anger. He couldn't understand why he felt enraged seeing William touch her inappropriately. His emotions seemed to spiral out of control whenever Abigail was around.

" Let's continue from where we stop"

Lucky's deep voice echoed through the room, commanding attention and silencing the whispers that had filled the air.

"Oh yeah, we all got carried away by Miss Abigail's introduction. So as I was saying before, I'm here in need of your help."

"You need my help. What could be so urgent that you'd seek it from me? You've never asked for my help before," Lucky smirked maliciously as he spoke.

"Yeah, I know. I've never asked you for any favors before, but I see that you're the one capable of granting me such favors among all the companies here. That's why I came here," William replied confidently.

"I see, so I'm the only one capable of granting you such favors, that's nice. So, what's this favor of yours?" Lucky asked as he looked into the papers on the table, they were done with the meeting so what did Willam need?

Lucky looked at Dylan and Dylan signaled the rest of the members to leave. Lucky, Abigail, Dylan, William and his assistant were left in the room.

"Mr. Lucky, I want you to lend me some money," William requested.

"Money? You want me to lend you some money? What for?" Lucky inquired, surprised by the request.

"I have a particular project that I'm handling and I'm on the verge of losing it," William explained. "You are the only one who can help me. I need some money to hold it down so it won't slip through my hands."

"A project, and you need some money?. Okay, so how much is the amount you need?" Lucky inquired.

"I will actually need the sum of 1 billion," Williams stated. Abigail who was silent before unconsciously gasped as she heard that amount of money, her eyes almost popping out from their sockets as she looked at Lucky.

"Wait... what?, 1 billion! That's impossible! Do you want to ruin our company? Are you seriously expecting us to borrow you that amount of money? Sorry but it Impossible!, he can't borrow you that sum of money!" Abigail yelled, not even realizing she was raising her voice, that amount of money just hit her hard. Lucky, on the other hand, was just staring at her with a gentle smile on his face. Dylan, meanwhile, just nodded his head as he looked at her. "I think we've employed a mother instead of an assistant," he said in his mind.

She knows she's not meant to interfere but that money is just too much, she has watched lot of movies and in situations like this it turns out that the borrower has a bad means to ruin the company he borrowed from.

"What are you trying to say, Miss Abigail? You let your boss decide and not you?" a lady named Lisa, who turns out to be William's assistant, said as she eyed Abigail disgustingly.

"What do you mean I should let my boss decide? I have 100% right to decide for him. That's why I'm his personal assistant, his right hand side. I have the right to decide what will benefit and make this company grow, rather than just sitting back and watching you ruin this company." She replied.

Apart from the sum of money, she just harbors this kind of hatred towards William, and the way he touched her earlier made her so disgusted. Even if Lucky wants to borrow them the money, she will make sure it doesn't happen.

"Miss Abigail, what are you saying? I like you more than all that you are doing to us now, you might loose lot of benefits for yourself Abigail" William said feeling annoyed

"Sir, I never said you should like me, and I never said I like you, sir. We are talking about business here, not who likes who," Abigail's words took William off guard as he gave her a dead stare.

"Miss Abigail, you have no right to interfere with this. You are nothing but an assistant, so stay in your lane," Lisa interrupted.

"You also have no right to interfere in this matter, you are nothing but an assistant, you should also stay in your lane. As I have told you before, don't elongate the matter. WE CAN'T BORROW YOU THAT LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY. PERIOD," Abigail retorted, eyeing her.

Abigail's intuition was strong, sensing the underlying motives and potential risks involved in borrowing such a large sum of money. Despite her role not typically involving financial decision-making, her instincts told her that there was more to it than met the eye. She couldn't shake the feeling of impending trouble and was determined to prevent any potential harm to the company even tho she's a newbie. She's an experienced one.
