Chapter 4

Once the three pizzas were made, one for us and two of them, I went straight to my new neighbors' house. I got really nervous because I hate talking to people I don't know. I knocked and waited for them to open up.

"I open". Said a boy's opening the door. "Hello". He said when he saw me.

"Hello, I am the new neighbor and I wanted to give you these pizzas that I have made, I hope you like them". I said very nervously and saw how Jess looked at me from the front porch of my house clapping while talking to the boy who was at the door and doing one of his mythical dances.

"Thank you very much". He said while taking the pizzas. "On top of that, we throw the ball to your garden and you make us dinner". He said very kindly.

"Nothing, don't worry. Good night". I said and said goodbye.

"Don't you want to have dinner with us?". I ask.

"No thanks. My friend is waiting for me". I said and said goodbye to him.

"Good thing you're talking". Jess said as she climbed the steps.

"It has cost me a lot because if I tell you the truth, I had no idea what to do, the words did not come out". I said as I closed the door.

"Did the one you tell me to open the door for you?" She asked excitedly.

"No, another very nice boy too". I said as I took the glasses and my bottle of water and Jess took her soda and napkins.

"Have you already chosen a movie?" I asked.

" Yes baby ". She said searching Netflix.

We saw the movie, Jess had chosen that it was not very good, but she spent the whole movie laughing alone. When it was over we went to bed and fell exhausted.

The next morning I got up very early and started taking the clothes out of the boxes and putting them in the closet. I had a lot of clothes and that's why the owners had done me the favor of buying some great furniture and putting it together to make it an incredible wardrobe, the truth is that they had been very good to me.

Jess had to leave that afternoon because her flight to her grandparents' town was leaving tonight and he was not going to see her again for a long time.

"Good afternoon". I said walking into the cafeteria on Saturday afternoon.

"Hello dear Dalia, how are you running the house?" Magge asked when she saw me.

"Great, finally everything is ready, I didn't really have many things". I said as I cleared the table that I had recently left.

"I'm very happy, and do you like it?" He asked while cleaning the bar.

"I love it, thank you so much". I said while hugging her.

"Oh, how loving you are late". He said as he hugged me back.

"Sometimes I am, even though it doesn't seem like it". I said as I continued to pick up.

I am very shy when I am with the people around me, it was difficult for me to gain trust from my bosses, well, actually I have a hard time talking to all people because I hate public speaking.

My parents have always told me that I am so dry that I am not able to show myself as I am and that sometimes I do not enjoy things as they should be and with good reason they did not miss the truth.

"Well, I'm going, George is already at home preparing the snack that this week we have to make the meeting at home". He said as he left the apron where we had a small place for us to leave our things.

"Have a good time". I said as I said goodbye to her.

"Can you clean that shelf there, please?". He said. Pointing to the highest shelf of all.

"Yes, no problem". I said as I looked up the stairs.

I watched him leave the small cafeteria, pastry shop... Where he served many things too delicious to be real. I wet a rag and went upstairs to start cleaning. Queen music in the background and let's get to work. She was so busy singing and cleaning that she hadn't heard the little bell that rings when you walk into the cafeteria.

"Hello". Said a male voice from below and I turned around.

"Oops, sorry, sorry I didn't hear you come in". I said as I came down the stairs, but still not looking who had entered.

"But if you are my neighbor". The boy said as he turned me around.

"Yes, the same". I said, wiping my hands. "What do you want? ".

"A bottle of water pleases". He said and I went to look for it.

"Would you like to take a piece of chocolate cake? It's one of the best we have here, including the three-chocolate cookies and these salty, cream-filled treats for the owner." I smiled.

"I did not come thinking of buying something other than the way you sell them to me, well yes, please give me four." He said.

"Okay, great," I said.

I started preparing the boxes and stopped talking to him because I was eaten up by shame. I usually only talk to older women, but this time it was not the case.

"Here you have". I said as I handed him the bags and carried him along.

"Thanks a lot". He said as he made the jump and the bags.
