Chapter 17

I started driving behind Lando even though I was pretty tired I put the music on a bit loud and upbeat to keep me from sleeping on the way. I liked driving, I relaxed a lot and the truth is that I did not mind driving a lot. I was deep in thought when Lando called me.

"All good?" I ask.

"Yes, a little tired but fine" I said.

"Do you want us to stop for a while?" Lando said.

"It wouldn't be a bad idea" I said while yawning.

"At the next exit we went in and stopped" he said and I hung up.

We went to the place that Lando said, I was pretty tired but getting a bit of fresh air would help me to wake up a bit.

"Good thing you said so" I said as I got out of the car.

"My legs were starting to hurt a bit and I wanted to stretch them out," Lando said as she sat next to me on the hood of my car.

"I let myself sleep because I hadn't really slept very well" I said.

"I can ask you a question?" Lando asked.

"You already do it". I said mocking him and he grimaced. "Tell me".

"Why is it so hard for you to talk and trust people?" she asked while looking at me.

"They have hurt me a lot and that is why I have come from Madrid, they have always messed with me because of the family I have so I decided to make a clean slate and they were always with me out of interest" I said and Lando looked at me but was not able to say nothing.

"And is that why you are here?" I ask.

"Yes, but at the residence, they also messed with me a lot but it's because I was always on my own and never went out to a party or anything like that's why I took this little house" I said.

"Well, now you have new friends and I can assure you at least from me that I'm not going to leave you alone. I know it sounds weird because we don't know each other much but I'm sure we'll get along very well" Lando said

"Can I give you a hug?" I said the truth is that I really needed it.

"I thought you were never going to ask me" Lando said, he took my hand and pulled me towards him.

The sensation of touching his hands so soft made me feel that it was very comfortable to be with him close to me, I leaned on his little one since he was a little shorter than him and I hugged him, clasping my arms while he rested his chin on my head and hugged me in a way that made me think I was in the right arms.

"Are you still sleepy?" Lan asked as he followed his chin over my head.

"Yes, I have a desire to lie down in my bed that you can not imagine" I said separating myself from him although in reality I wanted to continue hugging him and I did not understand why we hardly knew each other.

We got in the car again and got back on the road for another hour before we got home. Since Lando was in front of me, I went into his garage beforehand and since I still had things to put up that were voted for by the garage, I left it outside. It was almost 5 in the morning and I still had to shower.

"Wait, I'll help you" Lando said seeing them running from his house.

"Was not necessary to". I said as I opened the trunk. "But thank you very much".

"Nothing" he said.

He took a suitcase and I took the other one plus the backpack where he had the laptop and thousands of other things. We got to the porch of my house where Lando left the suitcase and I was looking for the keys to open the house.

"Thank you very much for everything" I said with the keys already in hand.

"Nothing, I just hope we can keep talking and that it's not just in the paddock" Lando said.

"Well, you already have the number that I won't give to anyone, we are also neighbors" I said and laughed.

"It's also true, will you ever let me taste your delicious pizza again?" I ask.

"Anytime" I said and smiled.

"Well, I let you rest" he said.

"Good night Lan" I said.

"Good night Dalia" he said and began to walk towards his house and until I heard him go inside he did not enter his house.
