Worried About Her 2

"I know what you are trying to say as a method to treat this kind of drug. So, if you two have no objection, I suggest to transfer her to St Patrick's 's Hospital. There, I can monitor her health closely. Judging from the state she is in at the moment, the chances for the drug to flare is quite high. She must have been feeling a sudden pain in her heart before she fainted earlier. You could see it here, " Samuel showed them the ECG graph and pointed to a certain area that showing unnatural heartbeat rhythms.

"Before this, I gave her drips to maintain her body temperature and control her heartbeat. Or else the drug will flare and we will have to face the consequence." Samuel stated his piece of mind and waited for the two of them to make up their minds.

After a long while in deep consideration, it was James Smith to give the shot.

" We'll do as you said. We're transferring her to St Patrick's Hospital tonight." then he turned to Mrs Jane Smith, held her hands, reassured her that everything was going to be okay.

"But we both couldn't accompany her for the time being. We still need something to handle here," his shoulders slumped in despair and it was a rare sight to see him in dejection. Misery upon misery came to his life. First, he lost a capable son, Gregory Smith, now his second son, George while his only daughter was experiencing the worst in her life, being drugged with the lethal drug! God! What had he done to deserve all these? He really had no idea about it. Even before this his daughter was kidnapped and almost raped by a stranger on the day her brother was shot dead. His old tears strolled down his wrinkled cheeks as he hugged his dear wife close to his side. The scene was melancholic and even Jeremy unknowingly shed his tears in silence. Jude glanced at him, expressionless. He walked towards Jeremy and patted his shoulder gently.

Only then My James Smith remembered about him.

"Mr Jude," his voice shook as he called Jude. Jude turned to him and bowed his head slightly to show his respect towards the elders.

Mr James Smith walked towards him and held his hand.

"Thank you for helping Rose. I really appreciate it."

"No worries uncle. I'll help her whenever she needs it." Jude responded to him.

"But, we have no relation to each other at all," Mr James Smith refuted him.

The door suddenly opened and Steve rushed in. Jude frowned upon looking at the man rushing towards Mr and Mrs Smith.

"Uncle! What happened?" he asked.

"George had gone and Rose was sick..."

"Where's Rose? I need to see her," Steve begged Mr Smith to let him to see Rose. Unfortunately, Mr Smith won't give him a chance.

"Steve, I don't think it's the right time for you to see her. I'm going to transfer her to St Patrick. They have better medical equipment there. I'll call you once she recovers," Mr Smith told him. He was obviously didn't have a good impression on his own nephew. He never thought after so long Steve would come back and tried to curry favours from Rose. Not a chance! Not after what his father had done before!

Jude took the opportunity and turned to Mr Smith.

"Uncle, don't worry. I'll take care of Rose while you are attending to the matters here. I'll send someone to fetch both of you to St Patrick's Hospital later. See you there." then Jude walked off in his steady steps.

Jeremy who watched the drama unfold right in front of him couldn't stop himself to be mesmerised by the way his uncle settling matters like that. It was totally awesome! He quickly followed his uncle and Doctor Samuel, leaving the three people behind.

"Uncle, you are awesome!" he praised his uncle and even gave him a thumbs-up. Jude stopped in his track and glanced at him. Jeremy quickly shut his mouth while Samuel chuckled.

"Jay, I need to you watch over her parents for the time being . Until I send someone to fetch them. Help them as much as you can." he left his orders with Jeremy and simply walked off. Jeremy was rendered speechless. Gosh! He exclaimed internally. His uncle really something else. Goodness... He shook his head in despondence.

Jude was really efficient in handling the matters. Within ten minutes he had managed to transfer Rose to St Patrick's Hospital. He even boarded the ambulance alongside Samuel. He even instructed his driver to wait for Mr and Mrs Smith before sending them back to Smith's residential. He will take care of Rose, for the time being.

Samuel, who had watched him for all the times, couldn't resist the temptation to ask him the question, " Do you love Rose that much?"

"I do not only love her, but I also want to make her my only wife," Samuel was flabbergasted with the new fact he had learned that day.

"Jude, are you serious?" he asked, wondering.

"If I could register my marriage now, I will do so." Now Samuel was rendered speechless.

"Jude..." both of the men were stupefied as they heard someone called Jude's name. Both of them looked at Rose. Her eyes fluttering as if struggling to open them. Her mouth slightly opened. Jude quickly held her hands, trying to send encouragement through his grips.

"Shh... Don't worry dear. We're sending you to the best hospital." he hushed her down in the gentlest way that Samuel was astonished by the way he acted.

As soon as they reached St Patrick's Hospital, Samuel directly instructed the staff to send her to the VIP ward on the top floor. He then instructed them to prepare the medications needed.

Once she was settled in the VIP ward, Jude stayed by her side, still holding her hands. He gently touched her cheeks to wipe away the tears that tainted them, ruffled her hair and he suddenly had the urge to kiss away the pain she had at the moment.

Samuel who was stood outside the ward witnessed everything and sighed heavily. His friend was totally going insane.

"Jude, let the nurse change her dress," Samuel patted him on the shoulder and asked him to step outside so that the nurse could do their job.

"No. I want to stay." he then turned to the nurse. "You may do your job. I won't bother you. Please continue," he then leisurely took his seat at the chair provided and watched them doing their jobs.

At first, the nurse hesitated, but in the end, she ignored him and did whatever she needed to do. After she ensure that the patient was settled down, she scurried away, leaving the man with Samuel.

Samuel sighed.

"Look at what you have done. My nurse ran away because of you." he accused Jude of causing his helper to run away when she needed someone to help him with few things. He quickly dialled a number, and a male nurse came.
