Justine’s Childhood

Justine is a representative from Italy, a country that lacked strong power users in the past.

The Neighboring countries with strong power users could attack them anytime, they lived in fear for many years.

That is why their government decided to look for power users and send them to the army to train them, even if they were young children.

Justine's family had two power users; herself and her big brother.

Even though their family was royal they couldn't prevent sending her big brother to the army.

Only Justin could stay behind at home with her parents, where she trains on her own.

Once every while her brother would visit home then he would go back soon after.

Justine noticed how different he became whenever he visits.

He seemed tired and lifeless, but her brother feigned a smile in front of her the whole time.

She knew that her brother was faking his smiles, but she would smile back at him every time then he would pat her head.

Justine grew too concerned about her brother that she felt sorry for him.

She knew that her brother had a hard life in the army, so she didn't spare any effort in training back at home.

Her parents and grandmother knew about Justine's feelings.

They would watch Justine training so hard every day, it seemed as if she was punishing herself for having such a carefree life while her brother is suffering.

Her parents wanted to stop her countless times but her grandmother would stop them.

Days passed by while she trained at all-time whether in freezing cold winter or in burning hot summer.

She grew up like that from a young age, her only duty became protecting her countries from all possible wars so that her people could live in peace instead of living in fear of war breaking out any minute.

Later she was sent to the nightingale school, a school full of power users from countries all around the world.

Unfortunately, her brother couldn't accompany her, so he stayed back to protect the country in case of any emergency.

Her brother's last words to her before she left the country were,

"My little sister, Justine, I am sorry your brother can't come with you-"

"You will be all alone in a foreign place-"

"At first you could have a hard time-"

"But I am sure that my sister can eventually fit in any place-"

" I know that you are a hard worker so you will definitely become the strongest among all other students-"

After he said that he forced a big smile on his tired face.

A tear was about to escape Justine's eyes but she quickly wiped it off with her sleeves.

She couldn't say anything back, she just nodded her head twice then she ran off without even saying "goodbye".
