Chapter 5: Hate and Affair

Today is Saturday, Nizsha has no plans every weekdays. So the usual thing, waking up late is her best medicine regaining the energy she spend for the whole school weeks. Her phone buzzed and the notification pops.

' Hey sis, come over it's dad's death anniversary.' -Lujian

As she read it from screen an emotionless face has been revealed. She had a bad memory on her dad. As she's thinking about her relationship with her dad it was a dream that first has clear blue skies but you wakes up in the nightmare. She still remembers how famous her dad was. Everytime she was ask who was her parents she was so proud to say the name of her dad first ' Medas Reville is my father and Theres Reville is my mom'. Then when people heard it they would reply,

" Ohh the famous vocalist in town?"

"The MvP player of all times.."

"Your dad was old but his good when it comes to sport and music."

Ahh... Very sweet and refined description from her dad's imagine really could reflect to their childrens.

But wait, it was rainny day, she was highschool and excited to report the news about her entering the drama club and joining a competition on school. Her mom was on her grandma cause it was sick. She was surprised on what she saw, a mother and daughter and her dad on a meal. She thought it was just a plain and casual meeting for a parents. But the smile she saw from her dad was different from what he shows around his family. She can't clearly see the faces of the the ladies. But it was clear to her that the girls school uniform was the same from her uniform, so the girl was a student from her achool. Then she look at them from a far, she was stunned by what her dad has done. A forehead kiss on the highschool girl, like a father saying farewell to a child. And a couples kiss on the girls mother. She then hurriedly goes over the shop where she saw them. But her father notice her approaching and hastily push the two to live. As she arrives they were already gone. She saw the box with a necklace on it. Then argues her father about having an affair. She kept the box of necklace as an evidence of her father's betrayal.

At home, her dad wasn't there, and her mom just perfectly arrived. She was very ready to tell her mom about her dad's dirty actions. During dinner she showed them the box with a necklace inside. It was designed with a silver lace and gold sunflower shaped pendant. On the back with letters carved 'L (heart shape dot) then an R. Her mother was shocked and even her siblings who were there stops eating.

" Mom! Dad has an affair" she started.

Everyone was silent and their looks were curious.

"I catched them while ago at Conney's cafe shop." She added.

Her mom gaves a disappointment looks but no sign of anger. At first she thought her mom just wants to be calm because she was a calm and chill type person when it comes to problems and issues. But she was surprised what her moms answer,

"Your dad is a good person. Don't spread false accusations that could break your father's heart."

" Mom! But I am the witness, and these necklace was the evidence!"

Theres breathe deeply, then released "Have you seen their faces?"

"Nope. But I saw dad kiss the woman on the lips and kiss the woman's child on-"

"Shut up! Nizsha!" Her mom screams and banged her palms on the table. "As what I said. Your dad is a good person, he loves these family, and he has done so much in these family to survive!"

"But mom?" Nizsha in disappointment.

"Sha-sha just stop you might have mistake dad's action" Jeanzelle, The 2nd child, said.

"Mom.... You gotta believe me...." Nizsha who was crying.

Nizsha stops thinking when she found herself with a dripping tears from her eye. She then smirks and smile.

"Rest in peace, asshole" she said while looking at her phone.

After that incident 5 years ago. Her attitude change, she has low temper tolerant and lives home acted alone and independent woman.

For her nothing in these world is important than separating yourself from the people who surrounds you but never trusted you. She then continues her sleep but her phone again buzzed. It was a message from Narl.

' Girl don't forget my favor. 2morrow is that day. Wait for you at the church. Mwahh'

Then she remembers she has to hepl Narl for the event. So she has no time to clean her stuff and clothes. She then stands up and begun to clean. Then under her bed she touched something in there. She took it and it was a red box, dusty necklace box. The box she kept, and the evidence of her late dad's affair. She look at the necklace with no amusement but a hate. She wonders why she kept it. Then she thought that maybe sooner, her mom would realized that the husband she loves has another woman. She must be patient for it to happen. Other people might call her selfish and no heart. But it's better to accept the truth than moving on playing dumb and blind from your partner.
