New enemies

“I can’t.., let’s not talk about that” Zack was ready to do anything to make sure that he gets married to Pat.

Alex and his gang of three visited Lincoln, but he saw them first. “let them come in and don’t stop them” he instructed his men.

“Why are they not attacking us?” Jack whispers. But Zack just looked at him and went quiet.

"Alex, Alex, I can see you are very strong” Lincoln came out to face them.

"I can see you are not afraid of me, and I can see you are still alive. But don’t ask me if I’m the one who sent men after you, I’m not the one, I only heard about it.”

Alex turned to look at Zack. “Then who did?”

"I don’t know, I’m not the only one who wants you dead, but good thing I still want you alive because you own me,” Lincoln said laughing.

“let’s end this once and for all” Alex said to Lincoln but he reminded him of his human friends. “they will die here, but I know you will escape, I still need you alive” Lincoln reminded him and he looked at Jack and Brian, “Let’s go,” he told them but Jack said they should end Lincoln now.

“This man is more powerful than you think, and besides he’s not responsible for the attack” he whispered to Jack and they all left, Zack was not in the mood to fight so he didn’t speak, he wanted to see Pat after this, getting bruises is the last thing he wanted right now.

He was kind of happy that a fight didn’t break out this night.

But who could be responsible for this attack? The only enemy Alex knows is Lincoln and Evelyn, if Lincoln said is not him then it must be Evelyn. Alex keeps thinking about it.

"But is she capable of doing that?” he was confused.

The next day he decide to visit Evelyn in her office, he didn’t want to go to her house.

“Hey.. look who we got here” she was very happy to see him, making Alex think is not her, she won’t be this happy to see him if she was the one.

“How are you?”

“I’m fine, I must admit, I was very angry that you didn’t come to see me as we plan, and instead you sent Zack to come to my house to stop me, what if he has raped me?” she asked Alex and he turned to look this way and that way.

“Shhh, will stop that? Zack can never do a thing as that” Alex said in defense of Zack “but when was that?” he asked himself.

“Zack came to your house?”

“Yes, I thought you are the one who sent him to come and stop me from causing a scene that night.”

“Yeah, yeah, is me,” he said but he can’t remember telling Zack to stop her.

Alex sees no reason to ask her if she sends people after him,  he can see that she’s not the one, “so who could have done that?” he was more worried now, which means that he has new enemies he knows nothing about.
