The Party 2

A black tinted Tesla screeched its brake at the gate of Musica, Hell's Kitchen. Another jeep pulled to a halt behind the Tesla, with two male bodyguards watching out closely for their master; Adrian Garcia.

Adrian stepped out of the Tesla with his little squad to the flash of cameras and a scrum of television crews. "How does it feel returning to the same club you met your ex?", a female interviewer asked.

Other interviewers ran up to him and begun questioning him, centered on his past life. He wasn't in the big mood to respond to their endless questions and draw uncalled attention. He was least expecting the media to show up but there they were.

Kristen leaned closer in a whisper. "I'll catch up with you later, bro", Alex patted his back and excused himself. "Hey! Are you seriously gonna leave me to face this?", Adrian cried out to his friends.

"We aren't sharing the fame together", Alex chuckled. "Yo! He's right", Fred said as they walked passed the camera. Pffftttttt! They were all gone, leaving him behind to face itching ears.

"Are y'all prepared to lose your jobs or you stop obstructing my path?", Adrian voiced out thunderously.

"We're sincerely sorry, sir".

"Please accept our apologies", different media teams apologized as they parted ways.

....

Red disco lights. Loud R&B music thumping from the speakers. The girls, swaying their hips side-by-side to every beat. The girls in the club were left to go naked. Their sexy outfits, revealing their cleavages.

The pool wasn't left out. Majority had already changed into their swimming suits, girls on flashy bikini and the guys, on short. Different sets of people were making out in the pool, dancing, drinking and having fun in general.

As usual numerous camera lights were on, capturing the entire scenes, both in the open and secretly. Funny enough, some were caught on camera having sexual affairs, both in the poolside and the lounge. Embarrassing right?

Adrian overlooked everything, unlike the other years when clubbing was a party every night. The joy was like a shot of adrenaline to the heart. He regretted turning up for this party. It was already starting to ruin his mental health.

"Handsome, can I have a dance with you?", a pretty lady ran over to him.

He lowered his eyes to the ground. "I'm sorry, but definitely not in the mood", he replied for the 5th time. She wasn't the first to approach him. He had literally turned down everyone.

He walked over to the bar and had a seat.

"What can we offer you sir?", a male bartender, dressed in plain white shirt and a black pair of trouser asked.

"A bottle of red wine". His downcast mood requested for it.

The bartender returned with a tumbler and the bottle of red wine, served in a mini tray. "Here you go, sir", he dropped the tray on the demarcating counter. "Thank you", Adrian managed to force out as he cleared the bill on the spot and disposed him off.

He flicked the cork and filled the glass to the brim. Every gulp came down with flashbacks of their memories. He tried distracting himself with his physical environment, but all he could think of was Kendall.

When he drunkenly confessed his love for her publicly, remembering their first kiss in the pool. She was his craziest obsession. Someone he never dreamt on losing in his entire life.

He requested again for the fourth round. "One more bo-", He could barely complete a sentence. He was heading back to his old drinking habits.

"At your service, sir". Another bottle was served immediately.

His hands waved through his pocket and he got hold of his phone. He had lost control over himself and was about making the biggest mistake of his life as he put a call on Kendall. In his normal senses, he would have seen himself as desperate.

"Adrian?", Kendall gasped over the phone as she answered the call. His eyes glistened up brightly on hearing her voice. It felt like forever. "Please don't hang up on me" he pleaded. "You can't imagine how much I've missed you, Kendall...", a tear ran down her cheek.

"I- I want you", he stammered. "I don't care how deeply I'm hurt all because of you, but please come back into my life. I can't live without you", he emptied the fifth bottle. She wasn't saying anything in return but sniffing her tears.

She ended the call when her emotions were becoming unbearable. Several failed attempts on trying to call her line back. The last shot for the night, he drank himself into oblivion, not remembering anything that had occured.
