Chapter 9 Meet Mr. Aleotti
While driving her car, Eliz couldn't help but marvel whether that man was Harry Aleotti.'But that can't be right. Harry Aleotti about the same age as my father. The man I saw looked very young, so he can't be Harry, she thought to herself.
In a flurry of worry and excitement, Eliz finally arrived at Menarini Group and Petra Design LTD...Menarini Group and Petra Design was a magnificent building located in the most prosperous commercial area in the city center, and it also had the best scenery. Standing at a height of 66 stories, it was one of the landmark buildings of Milan. The sun was shining high in the sky, but Eliz raised her head and found that most of the sunlight had been blocked by the building.
She assumed that the owner of this building must look just a grim as the building did. The MGPD LTD was heavily guarded. Besides, the private police of the Aleotti Family were standing watch outside. It was the first time that Eliz had come to a place like this, so she left nervous. She clenched her sweaty hands and patted her bag with the mask hidden in it before entering the building with faux confidence. To her surprise, she was not stopped until she entered the CEO's office. Thanks to the layout of his high-building, the office was so q)quiet that one could have heard a pin drop. A tall and strong man was standing in front of the huge French windows with his back toward Eliz. Seeing this, Eliz's heart began beating so fast that she couldn't appreciate the luxurious decor around her.
"Well... are you Mr. Aleotti?" After a while of standing in silence, Eliz finally couldn't take it anymore. If he continued to ignore her like this, she could get bored to death. Pierce slowly turned around with his hands in his pocket. He had delicate facial pictures, deep eyes, round and puffy, as she had seen last night, a tall nose and thin lips. He had truly handsome that could charm thousands of girls in a minute. But somehow, Eliz felt like Pierce was overbearing and indifferent.
'This is the man who slept with me last night?' Eliz thought to herself.
"I'm Pierce Landini Aleotti," the man said with the hint of a smile in his eyes. But in a flash, Pierce's eyes turned cold.
Eliz took a deep breath in an attempt to keep her composure. It was the first time that she had seen a man who could change his expression so quickly.
"Mr. Aleotti, what can I do for you?" She asked meekly. Eliz was never timid, but she felt a little restrained by the man in front of her.
"You slept with me last night!" The man, who had been stern just a second ago, now become little dissolute. Eliz was so shocked that she didn't know how to express her inner emotions.
'What does he mean by saying I slept with him? He's the one who forced me! How can there be such a cheeky person in the world?'
"No. It's you who..."Eliz trailed off, biting her lips. She wanted to continue, but on second thought, she stopped herself.
'He knows who took the initiative!'
"Well, Miss Navarro, I won't beat around the bush anymore. I've heard that something happened to go your family." A solemn expression appeared on Pierce's face.
'Shit! How does he know about that?!'
Eliz was speechless. She quickly analyzed the situation in her mind.' Who is Pierce? He is the CEO of Menarini Group and Petra Design LTD, so it would have been easy for him to find out the matter about my family. But why he does that in the first place ?'
In this society, it was acceptable for a man and woman to have sex even if they weren't married. But although Eliz was open-minded, her actions were still very conservative. Now that something like this happened to her, she didn't want to investigate it at all, perhaps because of the fear in her heart.
