TIMERANTE'S POV

When I was confronted by Conrad's face contorted with anger, the flames of hatred within me reignited.

In fact, when I ordered the massacre and capture of The New Arctic Pack, guilt welled up from within me. I felt uneasy, but for Sonja's sake, I had no other choice. It was a decision I made long ago.

But in the face of Conrad, who now abandoned The New Arctic Pack without hesitation, I felt no shame.

What a weak, inept Alpha! He didn't deserve the love and admiration his people showered upon him. In fact, I even believed that he wasn't even as good as Faye. His current behavior rendered Faye's compromise utterly worthless.

"What's wrong? Have you finally abandoned your cowardly act of running away and decided to confront me face-to-face?"

I also halted and raised my proud head, looking at him with scorn and anger in my eyes.
