"Stop it, she's already with someone " Jun's words keep playing at Dongyun's head.

Dongyun keep moving left and right in his bed. he can't sleep at all. he sit down, he touch his head.

he open his phone, he scroll down to old messages. he easily found message from Hyo Joo since he save it as special one. last message that Hyo Joo sent

"Dongyun, I'm sorry"

just simple words but give him deep thoughts. at that time he still so young and naive. he can't handle his heart broken.

he stand up and goes out from his bedroom. he walk down the stairs, want to get some water.

at that time he seeing Jun also drink glass of water.

"you're awake too" Jun said

Dongyun just nodded

"ah... my head... I feel so dizzy" Jun said and sitting at dining chair.

"why you drink so much when you can't handle it" Dongyun said

"ahaha... it's my charm. and you are here so I know you will pick me" Jun said

Dongyun get a glass of water and sit across Jun. Dongyun seems hesitate, he wants to ask something. he touch his glass, make round movements around it with his fingers.

"why?" Jun ask

"ah" Dongyun surprises

"you looks like want to say something " Jun said

"nothing " Dongyun said

he stand up and walk away

"are you still not over it?" Jun asked

Dongyun stop walking

"I wonder why you can get highest SAT in entire Korea. but you can't even manage your feelings?" Jun said

"I said to you that Hyo Joo also miserable here cause of you. but you haven't call her once" Jun said

"aren't you too cruel?" Jun said

"I know, I realized it. but it's late and I don't want hurt more" Dongyun said

"that's why you can't get over it till now. cause you never really end it" Jun said

"you know that after you leave Hyo Joo just locked herself in her room for a week. Alex even came here asked me to persuade you to talk with her..." Jun said

"I know" Dongyun said

"then why you act like that?" Jun asked

"cause I want to see her hurt too" Dongyun said

"at that time, I want to hurt her too" Dongyun said

"I know it's wrong and I can't face her anymore. that's why I never call her or do anything"

"but now I'm here, I want to end and clear everything " Dongyun said

"good for you cause you are the only reason why Hyo Joo can't open her heart for years. and now she's already with someone. so go get over it" Jun said

Dongyun walk to his room and throw his body to the bed. he really regret his attitude back then. he admitted that he was cruel to Hyo Joo.

he take his phone and write

"Nuna, it's me dongyun. can we meet tomorrow?"

he the click send

after a minute he got replies

"okay, I will work at convenience store at xx street, you can come by"

Dongyun walking to place that Hyo Joo mentioned before. it's convenience store near block of apartments. there's table and chair put outside the store. Dongyun take a seat and send Hyo Joo a message

"nuna, I'm outside "

Hyo joo read the message and ask Jina to cover her work. Hyo Joo walk and when she want to open the door she suddenly feel heavy like years before.

a day after Dongyun leave Korea, 5 years ago

Hyo Joo sit near her window inside her bedroom, looking outside with blank eyes. she look at her phone, hoping someone will text or call her. someone that leave her so sudden.

she can't count how many times she checked her phone.

"Dongyun-a, please reply my messages"

it's what she sent but no reply from Dongyun yet .

she also called him but numbers not active.

knock... knock...

knocking sound hear from outside

"Hyo Joo-ya, it's me Alex" Alex talk from outside

"you haven't eat anything since yesterday " Alex said

Hyo Joo just silence for a while

"Hyo joo-ya... are you okay?" Alex asked

"yes, I'm okay. I'm not hungry" Finally she answer his brother

"okay, but if you need something just tell me okay" Alex said

"yes " Hyo Joo answer inside her room

Alex walk away , at this condition nothing he can't do. Hyo Joo can be so "shutdown" about her feelings. Alex need to wait for her to open rather than force to ask her.

at lunch Yoon came

"where's she?" Yoon ask

"at her room" Alex said while drink coffee

"I'll talk to her" Yoon want to walk upstairs to Hyo Joo's room

"Stop it. there's nothing you can do" Alex said

Yoon stop for a moment and take a breath

"at least let me ask for her forgiveness " Yoon run upstairs

he stand in front of Hyo Joo's room thinking before say something. he feel so frustrated just by stand in front of Hyo Joo's room. he know what he did is really wrong. he get down and sit at the floor, lean his body to the wall.

"Hyo Joo, it's me Yoon" Yoon feel his voice so low

Hyo Joo hear it from inside, she also lean her body to the wall.

"I'm sorry, I won't make any excuses for it" Yoon said

"I didn't know why I can't act like a complete jerk back then. I'm hurting you and him"

Yoon said

"I wish I can help to clear everything. I wish you can give me a forgiveness " Yoon said

"I'm sorry, really I am so sorry" Yoon said

"Hyo Joo open the door please, it's been 2 days. please eat something" Alex stand in front of Hyo Joo's room with a tray of food.

"I'll eat later" Hyo joo answer inside her room

"I'll put in front of your room okay. I need you go out for a while" Alex said

"yes" Hyo Joo said

Alex turn on his car and goes to Jun's home

"just tell me you also didn't get any news from your brother" Alex ask as soon as Jun open the door

Jun then nods

"he just called to my mom, last night to inform that he already arrives in US. he hang up before I had chance to talk with him" Jun scratch his head

Alex bent down and held his knees. he feels so tired. he sit down in front if Jun's gate.

he lean his head to the close gate. Jun sit beside him.

"I'm so sorry about my brother " Jun said

"he still young kid, he can't think about anything than himself " Jun said

"I don't know, I feel angry but I don't know to whom I angry. I feel pain and hurt to see my sister. Hyo joo haven't eat anything since that day. she keep locked herself in her room. the worse thing is she can't talk about her feelings to anyone. she keep it by herself. I worried she will be eaten up by her feelings" Alex said

"I tried to call my brother, but I can't. But my mom said he will back next month " Jun said

"at that time even he not want to meet Hyo Joo I'll drag him" Jun said

"thank you, I know you will do it" Alex said

"they still young and naive, they can't even understand their own feelings " Alex says

"ah... my brother is one of a kind. but how is Hyo joo feeling towards my brother, is she likes my brother?" Jun ask

" I don't know. the problem is Yoon, he's the one who took your brother's letter and act like Hyo joo boyfriend indirectly and make Dongyun feel like Hyo Joo embarrassed him. in fact Hyo Joo never get that letter" Alex explains

"ah this so complicated, and I don't know if we can meddling in this situation " Jun said

" my concern is Hyo Joo's health " Alex said

"so if you also care with her please persuade your brother and explain everything to him" Alex said

"I'll go now" Alex stand

one month later

"Hyo joo... " Alex open Hyo Joo's door

he bring tray of food. Hyo Joo looks pale and thinner than before. it's been a month, but she still stay at her room, never get out for an inch. but better than not eating. Alex treat to break the door if she not open it and insisted not eat if Hyo Joo not eat.

after a week of persuading Hyo joo open her door. Alex can see how her sister health decreased. she only eat one or two spoons of food and drink water. sometimes she eat fruit but sometimes she will throw up after eat.

"Hyo joo-ya, let's go outside with me tomorrow. 2 days again school will begin. you need to prepare " Alex said

"no, I don't need to prepares anything. everything is done" Hyo Joo said

"then what about going on a date with me" Alex said

"I just want to sleep" Hyo Joo said

"okay, if you say so" Alex surrender

Alex get out from Hyo Joo room. he heard someone ring the bell. he put the tray on table and open the door.

it's Jun and his brother Dongyun

"I made it, I drag him here as I promised" Jun said

"now go and finish it" Jun said to Dongyun

Dongyun walk upstairs to Hyo Joo's room

he knock the door

"Alex? just get in" Hyo joo said

"no, it's me Dongyun " Dongyun said

Hyo Joo walk to her door, she open her door immediately and hoping this not a dream

Dongyun stand in front of her door

"nuna" Dongyun heavy deep voice heard from outside

Hyo Joo walk closer to the door

"it's me Dongyun " the same voice heard again

Hyo Joo stand for a while thinking what expression she will show to Dongyun. people might think our situation is actually a simple things. but people at our age who still so young find it complicated.

Hyo Joo put her hand at the door knob and open her door.

Dongyun stand there with cold expression

"it's real you" Hyo Joo said

"I come for a while and visit you. Jun said you are sick" Dongyun said

"ah, I just..." Hyo Joo words get cut

"don't get sick, don't get hurt " Dongyun said

"I..." Hyo Joo look down

"forget everything. don't feel guilty anymore. you didn't do anything wrong" Dongyun said

"I'm sorry that I made a scene" Dongyun said

"but, don't you want to know how I feel" Hyo joo gather her courage

Dongyun look into Hyo Joo eyes for a while. If he wants, he can pull Hyo Joo right to his arm and hug her.

"no, let's call it an end. I clearly know how I feel now. maybe it's just platonic love after all" Dongyun smile bitter

"so, nuna. don't get hurt, don't get sick. live happily. I'll go back now" Dongyun waves to Hyo Joo

the door closed just like that Hyo joo heart also closed for years until she meet Hyun Jae.

after several years Hyo joo meet Dongyun again. after that day Hyo Joo live her normal life again until now.

Hyo Joo open the store door, she can see Dongyun sit while looking at his phone.

Hyo joo take deep breath

"Dongyun, are you waiting so long? I'm sorry" Hyo joo said

"it's okay. nuna seems busy" Dongyun said

"ah I just finished my shift so I need to calculate some selling and change my clothes " Hyo joo said

"so nuna has free time now?" Dongyun ask

"I have 3 hours before my class" Hyo joo said

"then let's walk around " Dongyun said

"okay"

they walk around a bit and sitting at the park. Dongyun give orange juice to Hyo Joo.

"thank you" Hyo joo said

"nuna, did you remember we when to the park near my school once?" Dongyun ask

"hm. yes. the day when you get 1st at your class" Hyo Joo said

"yes. actually I always get first but that day feel so special cause I has someone to show my good grades and brag it other than my family" Dongyun said

"hahaha, you brag about it to me" Hyo joo laugh

"yes, I was so childish " Dongyun said

they keep talking about past as they walking around the park. the walking near lake when Dongyun finally have courage to tell Hyo Joo about something.

"Nuna, I know this is too late" Dongyun said

"I'm sorry" Dongyun said

"why you sorry?" Hyo joo ask

"cause year after year I realized that even I back to meet you and try to comfort you, but after all I just think about myself. I didn't even give you chance to tell me how you feel that time. I'm so scared that if you say something I'll waver and can't go back to US" Dongyun said

"then I realized so much I just so selfish " Dongyun said

"Dongyun-a " Hyo joo speak softer

"we made mistakes, so many in our life. we regret, we feel sorry. that's how life works. sometimes what we think is good actually not right after all. same goes with me. I have many things to regret. But meeting you is not the one of it" Hyo Joo said

"I never regret the day I helped you with that books. I never regret time that I spent with you. I never regret any moment of it. so don't feel sorry anymore " Hyo Joo said and smile

"can I ask you something?" Dongyun said

"hm...?" Hyo Joo said

"back then... did nuna also like me?" Dongyun ask, even this is too late he wants to hear it

"is it important now?" Hyo Joo ask

"oh?" Dongyun bit surprised with the response

"is it matter about my old feelings towards you now?" Hyo Joo said

"Dongyun-a, having regret is not good things. so let me save it as secret for myself. we live now not at the past. I don't want to make both of us trapped in the past anymore. now let's move on. you already grow up man. I know you will since the beginning. I'm happy now, I'm also wish you happy" Hyo joo said

"ah, time so fast. I need to attend class" Hyo Joo said

"Nuna, if I got chance I'll definitely take you into my arm's " Dongyun said

Hyo Joo smile

"I don't know what to say. but let's just live our lives now. live it until no regret" Hyo Joo said

both Dongyun and Hyo joo smiling and parted to their own ways. Dongyun feel all his heavy feelings is gone and he can forgive himself. he already imagine what will he do. what step he will take. he will pursue his dream and if he get chances once again he will try to get someone that still have special place in his heart. but this time he will enjoy all the process. he will love the way he wants by wishing the best for Hyo Joo.

Hyo joo on other side walk lightly. she can see Hyun Jae standing in front of her dorm while playing with his feet. meet Dongyun make Hyo joo realized that everyone made mistakes. she made mistakes by not trying to tell her true feelings towards Dongyun back then, Hyun Jae made mistakes by hiding his relationship with na eun, And Dongyun made a mistake by acted selfish.

"Hyun Jae!" Hyo joo run while calling her boyfriend name

Hyun Jae also waving back and open wide his arms. Hyo Joo smiling and get into Hyun Jae's arms, get closer and hug him.

"I love you" Hyo joo said

Hyun Jae smile and hug tighter

"me too. I love you" Hyun Jae said

they then walking together while holding hands to the cafeteria where all their friends gather up there. they will enjoying their meals together as usual.

Hyo Joo get message from Dongyun

"I'll back to US tomorrow. see you again next time"

he also attached a picture. it's picture when they meet at Jun's house for the first time. when they sit at Jun's mother garden. it took by Dae without they know.

"this picture just sent by Dae hyung this morning. let's have happy life"

Hyo joo smile and close her phone. she gran Hyun Jae's hand under the table. Hyun Jae look at her with shy face.

one thing that Hyo Joo knows. Meeting Hyun Jae is also not something she will regret.
