Isabelle was asleep when Rayleigh accepted a call from her mother. Rayleigh walked out of her room and sat on the balcony. Before calling Rayleigh, Madelyn had already texted her, and Rayleigh didn't want Isabelle to think about Kritsana too much.
Rayleigh often observes Isabelle's expression as she gazes at her injured hand, and she is aware that it has already deeply shattered Isabelle's heart. She couldn't bear to hear anything more about Kritsana.
"How is it, Mom? Did you already have a call with... whatever?" Rayleigh asks her mother.
"You should've said, 'Hi, Mom, how are you? I miss you,'" Madelyn complained.
"Hi, Mom, How are you? I miss you," Rayleigh replied, repeating her mother's words.
"Tsk, this kid is really no fun," Madelyn clicked her tongue.
"Mom!"
