"Sonia!" she turned around and charged him. Kwame had found her first and called Tau as he defended himself.
"You!" She hit him again and again till he captured her arms.
"Sonia, it is me." Tau implored and seized her upheld arm. Looking at Tau first, her arm fell. The pipe fell to the ground.
Her rage had saved her and many others. It was her only weapon that held her upright and moved her into action. Her green eyes had turned into a fire storm, so intense Tau averted them.
"You are wounded," he remarked. Blood covered her drenched clothes and face.
"I am fine," she pushed passed them and trotted away. Both stared at her figure when Tau noticed a man whose head was bashed in and grinned. That is my girl.
He followed her, crouched next to a woman. The woman calmed an infant while Sonia examined him. His wails stopped when a breast was pushed into his mouth, the mother to occupied with him to notice the men.
