Chapter 3 - After School

I came back home, exhausted from a long day at school. Today was Wednesday, which means two more days until the weekend, and mine and Liiy's sleepover. I put my bookbag down and sat down on the couch. Soon, my Mom and my Sister, Molly, will be back home, from food shopping.

30 minutes later.

"We're home!" My Mom said, after opening the front door, holding a bag of groceries. "I'll get started making dinner, after I put away the groceries." Tonight, we're having homemade potatoes and chicken. Not my favorite, but I'll eat it anyway.

"Mary, can you help me make dinner?" My Mom asked. "Ok." I said, while standing up off the couch. I go in the kitchen, and started making the potatoes, while my Mom makes the Chicken. The way she makes the chicken is so crunchy, and good. Even when it's Thanksgiving, everyone wants seconds or thirds of helpings for her potatoes. Both of her Potatoes and Chicken recipes are so good, that she might start having a business as a chef, but hadn't thought of it.

30 minutes later.

"Molly, dinner is ready." After I set the table, Molly didn't show up. "Mary, tell your Sister that dinner is ready." I walk in my Sister's room. "Molly, Mom called you for dinner." Molly was laying down on the floor, doing some coloring. She looks up when I told her that Mom called her for dinner. "Ok." She said, and puts down the crayon she was coloring with in her Coloring book. She has that coloring book a few months ago, and doesn't color it much. Usually, she asks for some paper from my sketchbook.

I walk in the kitchen and got some dinner.
