Weiying strutted towards the duo. As she walked, she made sure to let her hips sway from side to side. She snickered when she saw the look of pain in Lin Rouxue's eyes

it took a while for lin rouxue to recover from the shock.

Lin Rouxue turned around pretending like she didn't know who was talking

"Xuiying lets go"

Ma Xuiying saw that as a cue for her to make the payment which she hurriedly accomplished.

As they both brushed past the annoying fly,

Lin Weiying got angry that she was snubbed, she gritted her teeth in anger as she grabbed Lin Rouxue by her elbow as chided

"Now now don't try to snub me by pretending you don't know me... Lin Rouxue." As she spoke, She deliberately used her left hand to hold her in place to display the engagement ring on her left finger.

Lin Rouxue looked at her and calmly spoke as she used her hands to unclasps Lin Weiying's sharp nails that were digging into her flesh

"Excuse me, do I know you" She sneered, turning her gaze towards The man standing at the entrance of the store

" Xuiying let's go... I feel disgusted just looking at their faces"

Ma Xuiying didn't hesitate before hauling her out of the store.

After they left, Han Ping strutted toward Lin Weiying and spoke with a dotting smile on his face

"I still have a meeting by 2, is there any particular product you have interest in?...take your time I still have one-hour left"

Lin Weiying had already lost interest in this Place the moment she saw Lin Rouxue, so she responded with an apathetic voice

"No, since you still have a meeting to attend, I'll just do the shopping on my own"

Han Ping looked and responded with a kiss on her cheeks,

"No, why don't you wait till the weekend, then we can go shopping together"

" Sure why not "

she smiled, they interlocked their fingers as they made their way out of the store.

30 minutes later,

Inside a private room, Two women sat face to face with each other.

Ma Xuiying spoke up first

"You're... don't tell me–"

"I know what you want to ask, and my answer is no I don't love him "

Ma Xuiying's lips twitched

"No I wasn't going to ask you that...but still don't let his presence today spoil your mood "

Lin Rouxue stiffened when she heard what her best friend said

Soon a waiter knocked on their door, he walked in after receiving the permission to enter, and he handed the menu to them with his two hands

"Good evening Ladies, I'll be your waiter for today please place your order"

Ma Xuiying spoke first

"I'll have Sichuan pork, andddddd your special Ma Po tofu. then for desserts, I'll be having deep-fried mantou"

The waiter wrote everything on his notepad and turned toward Lin Rouxue with a warm smile hanging on his face

"I'll be having whatever she's having".

The waiter left when he was done taking their orders

" Rou'er... Since you have considered moving on why don't you just find someone else to date"

Lin Rouxue looked at her best friend like she has ten heads

"what do you mean someone else to date...do you really expect me to go on the streets with a signboard hanging on my neck that says 'Hey I am single and ready to date anyone "

Ma Xuiying had to resist the urge to roll her eyes at the sarcastic remark

"you know what I mean... Don't be discouraged about falling in love just because of one heartbreak"

"I'm not discouraged about falling in love... it's just_...I need time to heal and think about myself, I have suffered enough in my past relationship so I am more careful this time " After speaking, she smiled a stiff smile that didn't reach her eyes.

The waiter brought in their food which they wolfed down immediately after it was served

Meanwhile, inside another private room, A man who seemed to be in his 50s signed an agreement with another young man who seemed to be around the age of 27.

"Mr. Gao are you sure you want to buy the company...I mean it's already bankrupt and the employees are quitting their jobs to go work at other companies that have better opportunities."

Gao Yi looked at the man calmly and spoke

"If you won't sell it to me let me know ... I don't have all day"

the Middle-aged mad contemplated for a while before signing the papers that contained the transfer of ownership of a company after which he stood up and shook his hands with Gao Yi

"Congratulations Mr. Gao...You are now the new CEO of Zhengzhou real estate and housing corporation "

Gao Yi stood up and shook hands with the middle-aged man without uttering a word.

His assistant, Zhong Wei followed him out of the private room.

As they walked through the narrow corridor, the door to one of the private rooms opened when his boss suddenly stopped walking, he turned his face sideways when he saw his boss looking into the private room.

Gao Yi regained his senses after the waiter closed the door, clenching his fist he continues walking without turning back.

The next day,

Lin Rouxue carried a small bag pack which she kept her clothes and a few of her daily necessities with her laptop as she left to visit her grandfather, on her way she stopped at an antique store and got her grandfather a new set of prayer bead, and his favorite Longjing tea leaves.

When she arrived at his bungalow,

the old butler who took care of her for some time after the death of her parents, was very elated when she saw her face again after a long time.

Butler Xiao hurriedly went to greet her

"Young miss, it's been a while"

Lin Rouxue returned the gesture with a grin as she gushed at him

"Grandpa Xiao how do you do ...I have missed you "

the old butler scoffed at her sweet words

" Oh my, Young miss you still haven't changed. I am well my dear, how is life in the city ?"

as he spoke, he took her bag to the room close to Her Grandfather's

"life is good " she shrugged

"Where's my grumpy old man, why hasn't he come out to greet me "

the butler smiled at the way she addressed her Grandfather

"He's at the family temple...he left over an hour ago, he'll be back soon. why don't you go into your room and freshen up"She smiled at his kind gesture as she walked towards the sliding doors of her room?

Walking into the room she had not entered in the last two years, she was surprised to find it clean and tidy, all her things and old clothes were kept in the right places even her bed sheets were clean and had a fresh floral scent which showed that it was just washed. As she looked around the room, her eyes landed on a picture frame on the night table stand.

in the photo, it showed a very handsome man carrying a child who looked like she was around the age of 4 with one of her front teeth broken as she smiled happily with a woman standing at her left side.

Lin Rouxue held the picture frame close to her chest as a teardrop rolled out of her eyes

"Ma' Pa'...I miss you both so much" she sniffled.

To her, this place was the safest heaven for her, whenever she had any problems she would always seek comfort here as this was where she knew ha could cry out her heart and let her Grandfather pamper her rotten.

She cleaned her tears as soon as they left her eyes, she didn't want to cry anymore...she wanted to become strong so that she could find the people who plotted her parent's death

and take her revenge.

Turning around, she shrieked when she saw her Grandfather standing at the door

"Grandpa when did you get here," she patted her racing heart

" rascal is that a proper way to greet your old man after refusing to see him for almost 2 years "

Lin Rouxue broke into laughter as she lunged forward and hugged the old man, totally catching him off guard.
