Chapter 50 Everything in Its Place
Renata pushed open the door of a private room at a certain beauty salon. The room was fragrant with a woman in her thirties seated on the sofa. She was not wearing the salon's provided clothing but was dressed in professional attire.
When the woman saw Renata enter, she seemed to want to rise but instead, she stayed seated.
Renata was unperturbed. "You're here early," she said.
Aileen, visibly displeased yet masking it, sat upright. "Ms. Farley," she began. "I think you owe me an explanation."
Renata sat across from Aileen, her gaze never leaving the other woman. "Didn't Freya explain it to you?"
