Chapter 48: Emma
Emma looked up from the pages she read and then turned her attention to the book on the desk next to her. She put down her father's writings and picked it up. She opened it and turned to page seventeen. There on the page was her father, looking back at her. Emma looked up from the book to the wall. It was the very picture that was in the book. She studied the photos in the book, turning the pages and reading the captions below each of them. She then came to the last page in the section of the book that belonged to her father, and she found another envelope. On the outside of it was her father's name. She opened it, and there inside was Robert's letter to her father. She read the words printed on it.
