I went to bed confused that night. I wondered who it could be. Maybe a friend of Liam's and theirs. And they wanted to introduce me because I'm new and the person could provide some good mentorship. Either it still seemed strange. All night I tossed and turned with thoughts of worst-case scenarios. I woke up early in the morning dripping with sweat from my nightmare. I took a quick shower and headed out. I didn't want to be close by when whoever arrived. I needed to be sure I would be safe and I could trust these people. I wasn't gonna make the same mistake and blindly trust someone I just met, not to hurt me. I found a decent spot to hide out for the day and wait for the person to arrive. But eventually, I got bored and went to Liam and Rose's secret spot. I went for a swim to help clear my head. It didn't do much to help me relax. I swam on my back for a while and soon I found myself closer to the waterfall. I went underneath it to let it shower down over me. Another failed attempt at relaxing. There was a small ledge of rock behind the waterfall that I bumped into as I began to move further into the water. Of course, I went too far and ended up behind it. So I decided to climb on top of the small ledge and sit for a minute. I was very comfortable, surprisingly. For a moment I was at peace. Then after a while, I began to get cold. I stood up but I cut my leg and I cursed out loud. But instead of cursing with actual curse words, I said son of a mother fudging beach. I don't know why I curbed my tongue. It wasn't something I usually cared to do. In the next few moments though, I would be very glad that I did. The thing I discovered was the most shocking thing of my lifetime.
