Love at first sight

The following morning lolu woke up very early in the morning to have his bath , while Jayson was still sleeping peacefully. He finished having his bath and woke Jayson up.

"Wakie , wakie!!", said lolu.

"Goodmorning", said Jayson as he stretched his body.

"Mr man we are getting late for class , go and freshen up".

"What says the time?",said Jayson

"Eight o'clock".

"Oops! , I need to get ready quickly".

Lolu put on his best trouser and a white t-shirt , the one he had bought from the Mall in Nigeria. Jayson also dressed up and they held for class.

Everyone was talking about lolu as he stepped into the lecture hall that morning , he was certainly a chick in the girls eyes he ignored everyone as he sat down quietly.

"Look! , he's so cute", students whisper.

The lecturer came into the class and everyone went silent . A young woman about thirty years of age , dark and beautiful in complexion walked in .

"Hello everyone", she stopped. "Nice to meet you all , am Mrs Cole" , I teach biology" .

She brought out her marker and wrote something on the board .

"The topic for today is metabolism", does anyone have an idea about the topic?.

The class was silent .

"Lolu you should do this", Jayson whispered to lolu .

"What! , you can also ".

"I know you can do it ".

"Butttttt!".

"No but , just go out there ".

"Okay fine I will".

"So anyone ", Mrs Cole repeated again.

"I can try ", lolu said as he stood .

"Please come forward", she handed the marker over to lolu .

Metabolism is the set of life-sustaining chemical reactions in organisms. The three main functions of metabolism are: the conversion of the energy in food to energy available to run cellular processes; the conversion of food to building blocks for proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, and some carbohydrates; and the elimination of metabolic wastes.

These enzyme-catalyzed reactions allow organisms to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments.

"So that's all about metabolism".

"You know what , you really amazed me ", " Mrs Cole said .

"Thanks ma'am".

"This was the exact definition I am waiting to hear ", but how come you prepared so well for it? , cause what you just showed here says you're ready.

"I always prepare ahead of class", said lolu.

"That sounds great , I am proud and happy to have you as my student and same as you all".

"The same here ", they all replied.

The class came to an end.

"Young man what your name?", Mrs cole said as she walk close to lolu's sit.

"Lolu Chibuike ma'am".

"And you", she pointed to Jayson.

"Jayson smith".

"Nice to meet you both , see you next class".

Immediately Mrs Cole left the class , there was a sudden burst of noise that reminded lolu of a Lagos market woman calling passerby to come by with their goods . A white lady walked up to lolu as they were about to leave the hall , two of her friends were behind her .

"Hi , I am Sylvia Thompson, the school vice counselors daughter ", she said .

Jayson and lolu looked at themselves , Jayson finally replied to her .

"So nice to meet you Sylvia , am Jayson ".

"Okay , and you lolu right" , she pointed to lolu .

"Whatever", lolu said and walked out.

"Sorry about the way he behaved", Jayson said as he walked away .

"It's fine ", the girls let go .

"He's too snobbish", one of Sylvia's friends said.

"Don't worry tiara , I will get him ", slyvia said.

"Lolu wait for me", Jayson said as he ran after lolu.

"What , should I stand there and listen to rubbish ".

"That was too rude".

"She knows my name already , so do I need further introduction".

"Okay , cheer up", said Jayson.

"Am too sick for that".

"Lolu I will meet you in the hostel. I need to go somewhere now".

"Okay , but please get food when you're coming".

Doyin Yakubu a black and beautiful lady in the law department in Calgary university. She always walk with her face down , she hardly looks up , but not until she bumped into lolu .

"Am sorry", she said as she bent down to pick lolu's book , lolu stood still looking at the beautiful lady in his front he couldn't stop staring at her. She stood and gave him his book.

"I'm really sorry", doyin said .

"It...fine", lolu stammered as he said .

Doyin kept staring at him also.

"Errrrrrr , I need to go", she said and walked past lolu.

"Is it only me that thinks that guy is really cute?", doyin said.

"And perhaps why am I saying that , I don't even know him", doyin said and entered her hostel.

"Oops that girl is melanin", lolu said as he thought to myself. "I pray I come across her again".

"Hey doyin you're back", a tiny voice said.

"Hermonie guess what", said doyin.

"What that".

"There's this cute guy I bumped into".

"Hmmmmm , what his name", said hermonie.

"I didn't ask I was too shy , so I walked away".

"Damm it!".

"But immediately I saw him I don't know I just love him".

"Feelings or what?".

"I can't get him off my head".

"Do you believe in love at first sight".

"No , do you?".

"Yes , that how I met Jayson".

"Maybe a matter of time I will get him off my head".

"Don't worry destiny will bring you guys together , if you are truly meant for each other".

"Too much of korean movies in your head".

"Baby girl chill , I need to go see jayson maybe when I get back will talk about it".

"Don't stay long , my greetings to him".

After some minute Jayson entered into the room and so lolu in a deep thought.

"Guy what are you thinking about".

"Not something serious".

"I bought you food".

"Am really hungry , so who did you went to see".

"There's this girl have been having feelings for ".

"Hmmmm , feelings we are in it together".

"What do you mean?".

"Jayson there's this girl that bumped into me today and I don't know I think I have feelings for her".

"Love at first sight".

"What do I do?".

"What her name?".

"I didn't ask for her name , I just stood there like dumped guy".

"Don't worry something will bring you guys together , if you're meant for each other".

"So what your girl name?".

"Hermonie , she is part of the people in the overall best student".

"I think I remembered that name but not her face".

"Let eat ", Jayson said as he unpack the food.

At the barcony doyin sat down in a deep thought that she didn't noticed hermonie was behind her .

"I think i'm having feelings for that guy , hermonie is right love at first sight is real. But who is he?", Doyin thought to herself.

"Miss what are you thinking about", hermonie said as she taped her. Doyin got shocked when hermonie taped her.

"You're back?", Said doyin.

"No ma , have you answered my question?".

"About the guy earlier".

"What about him?".

"I can't stop thinking about him".

"I thought you said you will get him off your head?", Hermonie laughed.

"It not funny", what am I going to do?.

"Babe just leave destiny to do it".

"Hmmmmmmm".

"Yes , Jayson said I should give this to you", she said and handed a backpack to her.

"Thank him for me", how did he know I love ice-cream and meatpie.

"I told him", hermonie said.

"I pray I see that guy again".

"Don't worry you will".

"Let go sue him for stealing my heart".

"Yes!! ", They both laughed.

Monife and her new friend desola got to school just before assembly was due to start . Monife left and joined the other prefect , the assembly took place in the large hall.

At eight o'clock monife the head girl stood in front of the stage with her hand on her chest , she smiled.

"Attention everybody!", She called out.

After the national anthem and assembly prayer . The school principal mrs odeniyi stood In front of the stage and gave a brief talk welcoming the student. When assembly was over the students went to their various classes , some were chatting and laughing.

"Monife , where have you been".

"Can't wait for holiday gists!!".

Monife was lost in laughter and chatter.

Some were busy showing off their new phones , watches , school shoes and many things . Monife saw thoneey and walked to him .

"Hey babe ", said thoneey.

"Goodmorning , I hope you're ready for the term".

A beautiful short girl walked toward them , she was desola yakubu . She just moved into the same estate as monife , she met monife one day while she was going for a morning jog and since then they became friends and she decided to enroll into the same school as monife.

"Hey monife", she said.

"Desola , you're done with the principal?".

"Yes , and who is he?", She pointed to thoneey..

"Ooh , thoneey meet desola and desola meet thoneey".

"Hi , nice to meet you ", she said as they exchange greeting's.

"Hope you like our school", said monife.

"Am loving it already".

"Chrisland gives the best", said thoneey.

After school desola followed monife home.

"Have your sit", monife said.

"Thank you , is that your brother", she pointed to lolu's picture.

"Yes is in University now ".

"What the name of the university".

"Calgary university".

"That the same school my sister enroll into".

"What her name".

"Doyin yakubu , studying law and yours".

"Mine is in the medical department , his name is lolu".

"Okay nice name", "I think I should start going".

"Let me see you off".

Later that afternoon desola was already at home , she layed on her bed writting in her diary.

Dear diary,

It been a long time since have written in you . I'm so glad to be here and guess what am really getting along with everything , and I have a new friend her name is monife chibuike. I miss my friends in America but am glad I got along here too.
