Lost

Jon rushed through the labyrinth as he pushed past Lorathi soldiers all fleeing from the two encroaching forces, he cursed as he came to an intersection and wasn't sure which way to turn as both sides had men filing into each corridor 'I need to find Samaya and Obara!' He thought to himself a little desperately as he stood there unsure of which route to take.

However, from behind him close to the entrance of the Labyrinth, he heard the familiar sound of battle cries getting closer, the Ibbenese and Mercenary forces were close and about to enter the Labyrinth "Shit!" He shouted to himself before picking a direction and going right where he rushed deeper and deeper into the labyrinth. The sounds of blades clashing and men screaming informed Jon that the battle had started again, though he had no interest in fighting again, Robert Bastards were dangerous and he wasn't sure if he could fight them all at once.

"Samaya!" Jon called out as he rushed and pushed past people who were in his way, he thought that perhaps the echo would carry his voice further ahead and that she might hear it but it seemed the gods were not being kind that day. Jon clenched his fists as he kept up his light jog, he didn't have time to go back now the enemy forces were inside the Labyrinth cutting off the entrance, and the only way he could find a way out would be to go deeper into the labyrinth, Qarlon hadn't bothered mapping the rest of the entrances as he'd been having a difficult enough time mapping out a single entrance.

Though Jon wouldn't be looking for any of those entrances, no he was here for a purpose and he'd be fulfilling that purpose no matter what. He just needed to find Samaya and Obara... and Joffrey thought he'd focus on the crown before he tried to find Joffrey.

As Jon ran down the corridor he started seeing more and more forks in the road, instead of there only being three directions to go in, it branched off into more and more paths that bent and turned, and small alcoves that were in the walls led off into the darkness on paths that were only a man in width, this truly was a labyrinth, one that Jon didn't know how anyone could solve.

"AHHHH-" One of the Lorathi soldiers screamed before he was abruptly cut off.

Jon whipped his head around as he looked in the direction the scream came from but there was nothing there. The only light was that of the moon shining down on them, very few people had torches in their hands so they could barely see 20 feet in front of themselves.

"AH-"

Another scream echoed out through the labyrinth, then another and another, but no matter where Jon turned he didn't know what was happening or where the men were disappearing too. That was at least until he felt himself get grabbed, Jon was close to the wall of the path they were on and as he passed one of the small alcoves an arm reached out and grabbed him, what followed was a dagger trying to embed itself into Jon's neck, though he was able to grab the assailants wrist before he succeed. Quickly overpowering the ambusher with a single hand he pulled him front behind him and threw him to the ground, the man who attacked him wore simple clothing but the most prominent feature was the hood he wore around his head blocking his vision 'The Cult of Boash!' He thought to himself grimly before stepping on the man's neck and snapping it.

He started to see more and more Lorathi being killed and taken into the small pathways, he couldn't do anything about it and neither could they, they could barely see let alone tell the difference between friend and foe. Lorathi started to fight each other while the Cult continued to walk amongst them and silently slit their throats.

"Fuck!" Jon shouted before deciding to run, he couldn't do anything, he couldn't magically see in the dark and he didn't give a shit about these men so he'd run off now and hopefully find Samaya and Obara.

...

Samaya ducked as a spear was thrown her way by an Ibbenese sailor, she yelled out a powerful war cry before charging against him and sending a kick to his chest. While this may have sent a normal man flying off his feet, men from Ibb were built differently, they were short, stout and had thick muscles developed from hard life at sea hunting leviathans. Those factors allowed the Ibbenese man to maintain his balance before striking back at her with a whalebone dagger that managed to slice her waist, she growled again before slamming her elbow into the man's nose before grabbing his wrist and squeezing had hard as she could.

The man screamed as his bones cracked under her strength, as the dagger fell out of his hand she spun around and caught it with her other hand before planting it in the man's skull "Samaya we need to leave!" Obara shouted at her companion as she held her stomach in obvious pain.

While she was fighting against Edric he had managed to slice her stomach, though it wasn't deep enough to cause significant injury it was bad enough to cause a great amount of pain. Obara was lucky that she had been sliced with Edric's sword as it was hot enough to sear her wound when it made contact meaning she wouldn't bleed out.

"These men are nothing!" Samaya shouted as grabbed one of the men by the neck and threw him towards the wall. The Lorathi were fighting hard against the Ibbenese, but a large percentage of them were running and trying to retreat even further into the maze leaving the ones who were willing to fight at a disadvantage. Obara grabbed Samaya by the the shoulder as she thrust her spear forward catching a man in the throat "We have to find Jon, we did not come here to fight!" She shouted.

Samaya clenched her fists, her blood was boiling and she wanted to kill every last enemy in front of her but her companion was right, they needed to find Jon and continue with the quest. Picking up one of the spears from the ground she launched it at the encroaching enemies, it pierced through one man and then straight through another "Fine let us go." She said as she turned around.

"AH-"

They started hearing screams from the direction where the Lorathi soldiers were retreating. As Obara and Samaya retreated in the same direction they were greeted by more fighting though it seemed to just be mindless chaos as the Lorathi fought each other, but Samaya who had a trained eye managed to make out others in the crowd, men that wore black hoods and walked around slitting people's throats and even dragging them into small passageways off the main path.

"Watch for the men in hoods," Samaya warned Obara before grabbing a Lorathi guard who had tried to swing at her in fear. She disarmed him by grabbing his sword and smashing his face with the pommel, she then stabbed a hooded man that had approached Obara on her right.

"Who are these men!" Obara shouted as she pushed one of the Lorathi back with the centre of her spear. This entire section of the labyrinth was in utter chaos as men fought against each other in the dark, with the only light being from above them in the sky and the few torches that were scattered around.

That was until like the sun rising in the sky a large ball of fire started to ascend, Samaya and Obara both looked back as they saw the giant sphere of flames illuminate the entire passageway.

"Run!!!" Obara shouted.

———————————————————-

Jon had gotten past the Lorathi forces and was now alone in the maze, the seemingly endless paths that branch off from the main corridors deeper into the maze had split up the Lorathi forces, to the point where only small groups were together now as they went down separate paths that took them in completely different directions.

Jon decided to lean against the wall and take a breath, his muscles were burning and his eyes felt heavy, the fight with Robert's bastards had taken a lot out of him and it wasn't helped by his lack of sleep. He couldn't help but laugh as he leaned his head back against the wall, of all the times to be able to fly this would've been the one where it would've helped 'I should've brought Aeksion.' He thought to himself as he brushed his hand over his head pushing his hair back.

The advantage of solving the maze from atop a dragon wasn't something he didn't consider before his journey but he believed in his ability to be able to navigate the maze by himself and so didn't think revealing a near-grown dragon to the world to be the right thing to do, though now he could see he was wrong, this maze was a lot more complex than he first thought. The first part was simplistic, by the entrance there would only be a maximum of three different directions a person could go though it was mostly one to two directions. But at a certain point in the maze, the pathways started to get narrower and they branched off into even more directions, he'd just gone down one of twelve pathways and it just kept increasing. That wasn't the only issue he was facing, the top of the labyrinth was uncovered near the entrance, but further in it was now covered leaving them all in complete darkness, the only reason Jon was able to see was because he had taken a torch before he ran.

He had some supplies in his knapsack to keep the fire going for a while but he needed to find the others, this whole situation had gone to shit which honestly wasn't too surprising considering Jon's history. Pushing off the wall with a torch in hand Jon started walking further into the labyrinth and its winding paths.

Jon stopped and hugged the wall as he heard footsteps coming down the path he was on.

*thud*

Jon clenched his fists as he prepared for the inevitable conflict, his heart was steady and he readied himself to pounce on whatever came his way. One of the hooded men walked down the pathway, their hands were covered in blood and they wielded a dagger. Jon widened his stance preparing to defend himself but the hooded man walked right passed him as if he didn't know he was there 'What was that...' Jon thought to himself.

Though he was quickly able to conclude as to what happened, the Cult of Boash all believed in the Blind God and so his hooded men all covered their sight, they could only find you if you made a noise otherwise you may as well not exist to them.

Jon stepped lightly behind the hooded man but it seemed that even the sound of him walking lightly reached the ears of the hooded man as he stopped walking and went to turn around, though Jon had already grabbed his neck and twisted it, the hooded man fell to the floor like a puppet with its strings cut. Jon crouched and ripped the dagger from the hooded man's hands before wiping the blood on him, he tucked the blade in his belt before moving on and trying to find his companions.

In complete darkness, with only his torch as a source of light, Jon wasn't sure how long he walked, but he eventually turned a corner and heard the sound of talking. He slowed his footsteps as he approached, though he knew this would be in vain as the light from his torch would illuminate his form to anyone who wasn't a hooded man.

However, as he turned a corner he was met with the form of Daario and Qyburn the former of which had his Arakh stretched out towards Jon's direction though as soon as he saw him he lowered it 'Of all the people I could find it had to be him.' Jon thought to himself as he lowered his dagger.

"Jon my boy I must say it's good to see you!" Qyburn said happily as he approached him.

"I'd say the same but we both know it word be horseshit," Daario said before holstering his sword.

"It's good to see you Qyburn, and yes Daario I was hoping you'd died in the battle but I guess the gods aren't favouring me today," Jon said with a dreary expression on his face.

He then turned to Qyburn "Have you seen our glorious patron?" He asked the old Maester.

Qyburn shook his head "He was one of the first to retreat into the labyrinth, I stayed behind as long as I could to wait for you to return but as the forces drew close I knew I couldn't wait much longer." Qyburn stated apologetically.

"There is nothing to be sorry for my friend you had little choice in the matter, though I appreciate you staying for me as long as you did," Jon replied as he grasped his shoulder.

"As much as I hate to break up this touching reunion we have more pressing concerns," Daario stated as he looked down the corridor, Jon stepped past Qyburn and next to Daario as they heard the sounds of feet hitting stone coming towards them.

"Those fucking cultists!" Daario growled as he held his Arakh up.

"They aren't cultists," Jon stated.

"How do you know?" He growled out to Jon.

"Cultists don't run if you haven't noticed," Jon explained.

"YAHHHHHHHH!!!!"

A group of four Ibbenese men shouted as they charged towards Daario and Jon. Daario charged the rest of the way deflecting the man's spear to the side before slashing at his neck, though as he deflected the spear it careened very close to Jon's body which he didn't appreciate.

"Watch where you parry it you fool!" Jon shouted before sidestepping a thrust and kicking the Ibbenese man's leg snapping it in half, he then ripped the spear out of the man's hand and threw it to the other man charging him. In an instant both him and Daario had killed the group of four people and true to their natures they both started looting them for anything useful they might find.

However, it wasn't long before they heard the sounds of footsteps coming quickly towards them again "Gods it never ends!" Daario shouted out angrily before he got ready to fight again with Jon joining him wielding a spear from the dead body.

"COME BACK HERE YOU COWARDS!"

A voice shouted from the darkness making both men shiver, though Jon felt a smile spread on his face as recognised that voice.

"SAMAYA!" Jon shouted down the corridor.

"JON!?" She shouted back

"YES ITS ME!" He replied.

*THUD*

*THUD*

*THUD*

Samaya appeared from the darkness into the torchlight before tackling Jon to the ground, she pressed her lips to his own and before Jon could put up any resistance she slipped her tongue in his mouth and started to caress every part of his mouth with her tongue 'I suppose she's earned it.' He thought to himself as he allowed her to satiate her desires. She moaned as Jon traced the curves on her body with his hand though she whined when he grabbed her and pushed her away "I had thought you finally gave in..." Samaya said with annoyance in her voice.

Jon couldn't help but chuckle slightly "I don't think this is the time nor the place to engage in such things." He replied.

"Speak for yourself," Dario said as he leered at Samaya causing her to scowl at him.

"Come close to me and I'll feed you your balls!" She growled out making the smile disappear from Daario's face.

Following just after Samaya was Obara who still clutched her stomach with one hand while holding the spear with the other "Obara are you well?" Jon asked as he stood up and approached her.

"I am fine." She said unconvincingly as she shoved Jon away with her free hand.

"You are wounded, let me see." Jon insisted as he tried to move her hand away but she pushed him back again.

"Do not touch me!" She shouted causing Jon to step away with his hands raised.

"Fine if that's what you want, but at least let Qyburn take a look at your wound, if it festers then you'll be useless." He said harshly.

Obara scowled at him before nodding and walking over to the Maester who happily started inspecting the wound.

Meanwhile, Samaya grabbed Jon by the shoulder to get his attention "Jon what are we doing to do now?" She asked.

'That's a good question,' Jon thought as he laughed to himself.

"We need to find somewhere to rest for a while..." he said deciding to take it one step at a time.

"I just wish I had my notes of the words written at the entrance." He said as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Not to worry, I made sure to bring all the notes we took when I retreated into the maze," Qyburn said as he rubbed a white paste on Obara's wounds making her hiss in pain.

"Qyburn if you were a woman I'd kiss you right now!" Jon said with excitement as he approached the old man. Qyburn reached into his satchel and handed Jon the notes they'd made, he enthusiastically took them before he handed Samaya the torch, he needed to get through these fast before they ran out of light.

"You seriously think those notes will be able to help us?" Daario scoffed.

"You better pray they do otherwise we will be wandering around this maze in complete darkness, or do you remember the way you came?" Jon asked quickly shutting the man up.

"Qyburn when you're finished can you come and help me," Jon said as he sat down on the ground placing his notes in front of him. He needed to get this done quickly or they'd have more issues than just not finding the crown.

(AN: So yeah they are now in the Labyrinth, I know the description of the labyrinth is confusing but imagine a normal labyrinth at the entrance and then at a certain point it becomes pathways that are not longer angular but instead curve, it basically turns into one of those squiggly line puzzles, there is no light in there as this section of the maze has a roof and it's a lot tighter depending on the path people take. Hope you enjoyed the chapter.)
