Chapter 7 Crazy

A shrill scream erupted in the park and the last thing she registered in her mind was hoisting herself up a huge tree, hugging onto it for dear life to avoid the dogs' attack on her. Her ice-cream mid-sized bucket had fallen to the ground with her white purse while her failed attempts to get any higher than she was, was a cute and silly stunt. The on lookers chuckled in amusement.

Only until they heard her wailing bitterly did they notice that the lady probably was afraid of dogs. Markus didn't bother with the ice-cream and kept barking at the lady on the tree to get down and chat with him which made her wail even louder, she shut her eyes tighter as beads of tears continued to fall down her pretty face. This commotion drew quite some attention as the dogs barks and the lady's wailed didn't cease down one bit.

Jason who had come to get his boys happened to hear Markus's barks and he strode to where the sound came from only to see him barking at the lady on the tree. She reminded him of a koala. Markus was not aggressive though. Two young men in jogging oufits were trying to draw his attention from the lady but he grew hostile at their intervation in his business and growled at them furiously. Jason face grew dark and he rushed into the crowd when he saw the dog command center had come, probably to handle and detain Markus. He walked up until he was a few feet from Markus and his deep cold voice boomed in the area as if adjusted to the amplifier and the crowds mummerings died that instant. Everybody looked at the handsome young man who looked like he just descended from heaven like a god and didn't dare say another word. His aura was dark and ominous.

Markus who had made a rukus too stopped his barking and whimpered pitifully, sitting down on all fours and lowering his head in a submissive manner. Jason's eyes scanned the area and onto everybody's faces then to the lady still hugging the tree. She was a trembling mess, drawing closer, Jason carefully not to startle her tapped her shoulder and a shiver passed through her. "Hey, it's okay now." his voice was soft and firm. "Let go of the tree I got you." he continued to coax her.

The lady on hearing such a sweet voice that kept assuring her she was forced to take a sneak peek at the corner of her eyes. "I'll take you down now." Jason held onto her waist for support, "You can unwrap your legs." She was like a koala. Slowly, she did as she was told and let go of the tree successfully only to faint the moment she touched the ground. Jason however was fast enough with his quick reflexes and got hold of her. He remembered her, she was the food monster he found at the restaurant yesterday. How can someone eat so much yet be so light!!

The crowd was pleased with this handsome young man's way of handling the situation.

Gently, he carried the passed out young lady who he remembered her as Jenny princess style but when he turned to leave, he found a policeman looking at him in a degrading manner. However his face remained expressionless as he looked at the policeman.

"Is the dog yours, Sir?" The officer asked. How can a man be so handsome, am staring to doubt my sexual orientation!! Damn!!!!

"No." Jason replied. Even his voice excites me thought the officer.

Markus whimpered painfully like a knife had been stabbed in his paw.

"Then the lady?" he continued to act indifferently but his mask had been seen through by Jason.

"She's mine." His answer made all the young ladies' hearts around shutter to million pieces and green with envy at the unconscious lady in his arms. This Adonis had been taken!! The policeman too was speechless, 'where did that come from? 'he frowned at Jason's words.

'Ahhhhh', Travis and Mike's face fell that it twitched, their eyeballs popped to ground and back to the sockets. Travis and Mike drew forward from the crowd towards their Captain.

Seeing another handsome young man, the ladies hearts were mended slightly. At least he has a brother. Seeing another one join, they beamed he has two brothers!!

"I'll see you two." his voice sent chilles to the twin's spines and those around gulped non-existent saliva nervously.

He's dangerously handsome but that's how the ladies liked it.

Walking away from the crowd with ' his' woman in hand, he attracted ladies envious gazes as he went up to his penthouse. Gently putting her to lay on his wide couch, he knelt down to check on her condition and she was fine probably only fear stricken.

Two young men and a dog made their way to the penthouse after clearing everything with the police with sullen expressions. They were doomed. Entering the apartment, they found their captain in a single seater across the unconscious lady staring at her in a daze. They looked at eachother in question of what was happening but chose not to pry and went on to shower and prepare for another round of punishment.

Later in the day, the lady on the sofa stirred, a frown between her brows and a moan escaped her lips. Slowly, she peered her eyes open and looked around to see she was in an unfamiliar place, it looked lavish though, she noted. A grey woven blanket had been drapped to cover her body, slowly, she sat up and stood, she continued to look around but that's when the memories from earlier flooded her mind once again, she groaned in annoyance, 'she had been shamed!!' But a shiver passed through her body when she recalled those sharp teeth exposed and the barkings, imaging them sinking in her flesh,she drew in a sharp breathe.

Soon, she heard footsteps approaching where she was and she turned to see, two young men walked towards her. They were very handsome and masculine with broad firm chests, six feet tall, their overall frame was like that of top models.....ehhh, they look alike? Twins!! She fell into a trance.

"Your up?"Asked one in grey sweat pants and a black jumper

"We are sorry you had to encounter such an incident today." The other in knee shredded Jean pants and a blue casual shirt apologized. "Our dog....he didn't mean you any harm."

Even their voice was sweet, surely th other two will like them. 'I'm going to become a good match maker for Bella and Stella' she kept daydreaming.

"Miss... miss, you okay?" The first twin in sweat pants asked.

Snapping back to reality, she weakly smiled at them, "it's okay. I'm fine now."

"Markus would like to apologise." The other twin in jeans said.

"Markus?" Jenny frowned

"Yes..the dog, Markus the dog." The twin in jeans said.

'Ahhh!!!!' she grew uncomfortable.

The culprit for today's events came in, he looked sullen with his ears dropped, he had received his fair share of scolding, he was so sad an heartbroken.....so pitiful.

When the Jenny saw him, she jumped back into the sofa and looked warily at the dog....Markus.

'If she doesn't forgive you, I'm sending you back to the barracks this instant!' Markus remembered captain's warning. He barked his apology softly so as not to startle her and whimpered pitifully.

Jenny looked at the dog and somehow understood the message it tried to convey but that didn't mean she'll get over her fears just like that so- "Ahh.... it's okay Markus. I forgive you." She smiled softly, 'I need to leave, now!!!'

Markus became elated and looked at her thankfully his tail wagging from the east to the west.

"Thanks for looking after me, I suppose it's time to leave. Ahhh, my name is Jenny."

"Travis, Mike" they introduced themselves.

"Why don't you stay and have something to eat, you missed having lunch." Mike offered.

"No worries, thanks again." And she strolled out with the twin's behind her till they sent her off. On returning, they found their Captain staring at them expressionlessly.

"Aaaaa, I have to handle the laundry." and Mike dashed out.

"Anything Captain?" Travis inquired.

Jenny got to the elevator at the left wing of the building, she got in and drowned in her own thoughts and a soft smile tugged at her lips. The elevator opened with a ding and she got out to head home. She must be crazy, why think if the stranger from yesterday, she even compared his good looks with the twins. That guy better stay away from her, she didn't want to get involved with anybody...the out come would be disastrous.
