His fate was predetermined: fight, defend, and perish with the stars, a mere cog in the great machinery of creation. But something within him resisted this cruel fate. A seed of defiance sprouted in his heart, whispering of freedom. He sought a way to transcend the cosmic chains—to escape, to defy destiny, to seize freedom at any cost. As a mortal, he felt the agony of watching his loved ones wither and die, powerless to stop the decay of time. He wept for children, lovers, friends. As an emperor, he conquered kingdoms and wielded unimaginable power, only to be betrayed by those he trusted most, dragged from his throne, and executed in shame. As a beggar, he wandered the streets, starving and shivering under the cold gaze of uncaring gods. As a villain, he became the monster in stories told to frighten children—burning cities, drowning nations in blood, only to be hunted and killed by the heroes of those same tales. As a saint, he gave everything—his wealth, his strength, his life—to others, only to discover that gratitude was fleeting and the world did not remember the sacrifices of the righteous. But, Every failure, every death, every betrayal—they were nothing but steps on a long, infinite path. And the path had only one direction: up, through the layers of existence, through the fabric of reality itself. No prison could contain him. No curse could hold him. His heart whispered one thing to him, a truth carved into his soul:Move forward. Always forward. Because he was Li Shenrong—the Lord of the Celestial Throne.
After standing in line for two hours, it was finally Simon's turn.
"Touch the crystal stone with your palm." The employee in charge spoke indifferently.
Simon looked at the transparent crystal placed infront of him. It was as big as a person's head.
He was quite nervous as he placed his palm on the crystal.
In a few seconds, the crystal reacted and glowed with faint yellow light almost indiscernible.
"F rank talent." The employee spoke indifferently but there was a flash of disappointment in his eyes.
After that he passed a card to Simon and said "This is your beginner awakening card.
For more information visit the information desk."
Then he moved his gaze and called for the next person.
Simon looked at the card in his hand which was still emitting a faint heat. It had some of his information and talent rank.
{Rank: 0
Superhuman: Simon.
Talent: F (Beginner.)
Guild: N/A
Alliance: N/A.}
"Excuse me." Simon stood infront of the information desk and spoke.
"Sir, how may i help you?" A sweet female voice welcomed him.
Such a beauty! His gaze fell on the beautiful blonde haired girl and exclaimed. He secretly gulped his saliva as he looked at her plump chest from the corner of his eyes.
Indeed she was a enchanting beauty.
Simon placed the card infront of her and said, "I want to know some information."
She looked at the card for a split second and smiled.
"Congratulation for awakening your superhuman talent. Since you are a newly awakened superhuman, you can choose to go through basic training session or join a team directly. Also you can go hunting alone but your chances of coming alive is just one percent." She spoke with professionalism.
"How do i get my superhuman certificate?" Simon asked.
"To become a certified superhuman, you need to complete one mission given by any guild or alliance. After you have proven your ability to complete missions, the guild will give you a certificate.
You can also join a team to complete your mission." She smiled and replied.
"But i will recommend you to take basic training session first.
You will be fighting vicious monsters and beasts from the otherworld. Without any training or prior knowledge you will just be sending yourself to death." She added solemnly.
Simon thought for a bit and decided to take basic training first.
"Alright i will take the basic training session. When is it?" He asked.
"You made a good choice sir. You can visit us tomorrow at 10:00 am, training starts at 10:30 am for the newly awakeneds." The blonde girl said as she handed him the card back.
Simon nodded and left the information desk.
….
Next morning.
White tiger association, training hall.
There was more than two hundred people standing in rows.
Simon observed each one of them. Some were nervous, some looked confident and some had indifferent expression.
A middle aged man entered the training hall.
Everyone turned silent as they looked at the man who stood upright.
"Welcome everyone. I am Raynold, your trainer.
You will soon understand that choosing to go through the basic training session is the best decision you've made in your life." As soon as he said this, his aura exploded.
Everyone's expression changed instantly. Some was gasping for breath and some already collapsed on the ground. Simon also frowned as he felt an invisible force pressing down on him.
Just as his knees were about to touch the floor, the pressure vanished.
"Some of you might have high grade talent and some might have mediocre talent. But try your best to stay alive.
We will start our basic training now." Raynold spoke with a smile as he observed the whole training hall from a high ground.
….
Simon was lying on the ground panting. His whole body was drenched in sweat as he gasped for breath.
Argh my whole body hurts so much. He screamed inwardly.
Some people had it better. A silver haired girl stood upright as if the intense five hour training session was nothing much.
A young man in blue shirt sat on the corner with closed eyes. His breathing was calm and composed.
Some were discussing how they felt and trying to know each other better.
People like Simon with low rank talent were lying on the ground. He felt many disdainful gazes landing on him but he didn't care.
Simon was busy checking his stats.

One day's basic training increased his attack and defense. Strength increased by four points. Three more points in dexterity and agility.
Simon felt the urge to do more training but extreme fatigue enveloped his body.
After resting for an hour he left the training hall.
….
Simon continued his basic training everyday.
Fifth day.
"Today's training will end here." Raynold left the hall directly after saying this.
Simon stood upright as he checked his system panel.

He had jumped from level 1 to level 2. But his intelligence was still the same as it was in the beginning.
"Brother, your improvement is really eye catching." A young man approached Simon and laughed as he spoke.
"Its nothing much. I just tried hard." Simon replied.
Infact many people already noticed his improvement which was really quick. But they didn't take it to heart because no matter how much he improves in basic training, he would still be a low rank superhuman.
Those with high rank talents disdained to associate with low rank talents.
One month passed by quickly.
"Basic training session will end today for your batch and i think you all are now capable of holding your ground on the battlefield.
Some of you showed exceptional abilty in some aspects which was noteworthy.
So what if you have low rank talent? Work hard! You can reach your goal…." Raynold gave a long motivational speech before leaving. He also praised Simon and some other youngsters specially that Silver haired girl.
Even Simon felt a little surprised by her growth.
Simon once saw her sparring with someone, she almost defeated a trainer. Her battle intent was astonishing.
Simon looked at his stats and felt a rush of excitement.

Although he was still at rank 2, his attributes didn't increase much but he was satisfied. Because upgrading rank was extremely difficult and costly.
For superhumans, if they want to upgrade their rank, they need to absorb energy stones.
Energy stones can only be found by hunting monsters and beasts.
Simon had the systems help. Just by doing basic training he was able to increase his attributes and rank was more than enough.
Although it became harder and harder to gain points but it was satisfactory.
I cannot level up just by training alone anymore. I need to hunt monsters and absorbe their cores. Simon thought inwardly.
