Aang froze in his place as he heard Kunyo's declaration.

''W-why?''

''I never intended to accompany you through your whole journey. Thanks to your talent, I managed to teach you firebending to a satisfying degree.

It was a week after his talk with Kurumi.

His whole teaching experience lasted about 2 weeks. Just 2 weeks.

He could understand Aang's concern, but it had to be done.

''Besides, if you stay with me you will never meet any hardship. I'm already too strong to hang out with you guys during your journey.'' he shook his head.

It sounded arrogant, but it was the truth. Any obstacle they would meet, Kunyo could easily solve it.

''Also, you still have to go to the Earth Kingdom and meet a proper earthbending teacher.''

That wouldn't be very easy with a firebender near them.

Kunyo reached out and a scroll appeared in his hand.

''Take this firebending scroll. It has many great techniques.''

Kunyo handed it to Aang.

''When will you be leaving?'' he asked quietly.

''In a day or two.''

Kunyo had accomplished all of his goals in this place.

He visited many places including the legendary Spirit Oasis and saw Aurora.

He ''borrowed'' some good waterbending scrolls.

He built a good relationship with Aang, Sokka, and Katara.

He had many bottles of the famous spirit water in his inventory that he took after taking permission from the great spirits.

'Thankfully they were pretty warm to me. Let it be known that the spirits aren't ungrateful.'

--A few days ago--

Kunyo slowly approached the pond and sat down.

''Hello.'' he greeted.

He got an answer after a few seconds of waiting.

'Hello.'

Kunyo smiled.

'Now, should I tell them about my achievements and guilt trip them or just ask nicely? Hmm. Oh, wait! They already know that I saved them and I have many invisible relationship bonuses towards the spirits thanks to the quests. They're benevolent spirits, I'm sure they would help me out if I just asked for it.'

He bowed slightly.

''It's an honor the Spirit of Ocean and the Spirit of Moon.''

'Nice to meet you too.'

''I was wondering if I could take some of that water?'' Kunyo asked bluntly.

'They don't seem like spirits that would appreciate beating around the bush.

'Sure.' they answered without missing a beat.

Kunyo took out several bottles from his inventory and started filling them up with the spirit water.

After taking almost half the pond, he felt distressed from the spirits.

They were kind enough to stay silent and not actually say anything to him, but they still let their emotions out.

Kunyo took almost half of their water after all, that was their home!

''Don't worry, I thought about that.'' Kunyo smiled warmly.

He waved his hand and new bottles appeared, each of them full to the brim with normal seawater.

'Only thing special about this spirit water is because it was affected by the aura of the two great water spirits for years. I can change it with normal water and it wouldn't affect them even slightly. I estimate... it would take about 5 years for this much water to become spirit water again.' he nodded to himself in his mind.

He had already analyzed the spirit water and knew that the only special thing about it was its proximity to the two great water spirits.

It wouldn't affect the two spirits at all.

'They might even feel refreshed thanks to it. Heh, sometimes my genius is almost frightening.' he grinned smugly as he poured the ordinary seawater into the small pond.

''That's okay with you right?'' he asked just in case.

'Okay.'

----A few minutes later-----

Kunyo wiped the imaginary sweat on his forehead as he admired his work.

This many bottles of the legendary spirit water would put targets behind him. Thankfully he had already sent out the GAang and he was completely alone.

''Thank you.'' he smiled and bowed respectfully.

Just as he was about to leave,

'Thank you.'

He felt them say and suddenly his body started to change from the inside.

'I could reject it, but I can feel that this will be good for me.'

Kunyo directly accepted the feeling and closed his eyes.

'I was thinking of learning gravitybending after learning earthbending, but I didn't expect the Moon spirit to help me this way. Yep, befriending the spirits was the best choice after all.'

He turned back and gave a bow.

---A few days later----

In the end, it was a pretty beneficial trip.

'If I had chosen the other option I could never get these. Hmm, good guys always get good rewards in universes like this. If I was in a grimdark universe, my non-existent girlfriend would be cucking me right now.'

'When in Rome do as the Romans do. I should give more attention to the world setting in the future.'

'I also got bonus from my titles after my battle with Kurumi, although they were pretty disappointing. There was close to zero mercy involved since I never inteded to kill Kurumi and not killing her would be the best option for me. Saving avatar and becoming a hero? Unfortunately, Kurumi never had any intentions of harming Aang, Sokka and Katara.

Even though I tried hard to make myself into a delusional self-righteous hero, it only gave me one stat on strength. I don't know if I failed on it, which wouldn't surprise me given my lack of experience, or if it was impossible. Still, a stat increase at this point is still good stuff.'

''Will you be taking Kurumi as well?''

Kunyo held back a sigh.

'This girl...'

She was cute and she... kind of became obsessed with him. How nice, right?

'Unfortunately, the reality is often disappointing.'

He glanced back at her to see her blushing like a damned schoolgirl!

'Kind of creepy once you think of her age. Probably in four digits, maybe even more.'

''Yes. Yes I will... You should leave soon too. Earthbending teacher won't suddenly show up on the Northern Water Tribe.'' Kunyo answered after a small sigh.

He nodded slowly.

''Should I tell Sokka and Katara or?''

''I will tell them myself.'' Kunyo said as he went past Aang after patting his shoulder.
