Ancient Knowledge - Chapter 1

It was a long time ago, Eran thought as he was drinking his beer.

The deer was cheap and not good at all, but Eran could not afford good quality beer at all.

Some things need to be thought about, and different matters need to be understood.

Who knows what he could do if he was given a chance?

He believed in himself but not others.

In the small village he is living in, there are not many people who visit the small tavern built in the village.

He comes from Earth, a modern man in his thirties, with black long hair and a black-trimmed beard.

He was around 180 cm tall and had a good body, not showing any kind of weakness at all.

He was an ordinary man on earth. He had a simple life as a corporate employee.

He was not too intelligent or powerful, and he did not have any special abilities whatsoever.

But there was one thing he had excelled at. He understands human emotions and their movements and predicts what they are going to do.

After Eran woke up in this new world, he was scared and did not understand what happened to him. He was not remembering anything, so he started adapting.

Luckily for him, it seemed that nobody in the village doubted his identity as a small-time hunter, and they spoke in a language that he could understand without any problem, and vice versa, they understood what he was saying.

Eran put three copper coins on the table without any kind of insignia and left the small tavern, going towards his home at the end of the village.

The air was dark and there was nothing that could be heard from the surrounding wooden houses.

Eran lit a type of cigar and smoked as he walked towards his home. There was a big difference between himself and other people.

"Mages and fictional creatures are living in this land, according to information in my mind."

Eran knows these things because, as time went on, a weird voice in his head started telling him these pieces of knowledge and information about himself. Eran had no reason to not trust these voices.

The important thing was that Eran held a secret and power that others did not know.

As he was walking, he simply said the magic words, "Status."

At first, he did not understand anything, but within a short time, he understood many things. He had some kind of game system that allowed him to see his status but not increase it other than through direct practice or the use of some different items.

The most important thing was his "Ancient Knowledge" ability. It lets him use information and knowledge from ancient times.

Eran tested simple things, and he was shocked to find unimaginable results.

The "Ancient Knowledge" accepted any knowledge or information from "Earth" as ancient and let him do things.

Of course, the things he can do are limited by his intelligence. As long as his intelligence grows and improves, the things he can do will be opened up even further and not be limited.

Eran sat on a bench as he smoked his cigar.

He raised his right hand and opened his hand as he whispered.

"Fire"As expected, nothing happened, because he directly just said it without thinking about any knowledge or any kind of thing.

But then he again whispered.

With his whisper, at first, a purple light glowed from his eyes, and then a fire started burning in the middle of his hand.

The most important thing when using his ability of "Ancient Knowledge" was "knowledge" itself.

If knowledge itself is good enough for the ability to activate, the spell or anything Eran wants to do will not cost any magical energy, or intellectual power, or basically not tire himself out, and he can continuously cast spells without any problem or do anything if his intelligence is sufficient for it.

Eran then smiled and pointed to the sky as he whispered.
