Chapter 5 - The circle of thrones

[The great hall, Yggdrasil, Mc Pov]

The world around me only went blank for a second, soon though, it felt like my eyes were opening once again. Only this time it was completely different, I was in a seated position, my head slightly down as I looked at my long arms and massive hands. I slowly moved them to grip the black stone like arm rest, while looking at the ticks of dmg go off as I did. Shaking my head, I stopped my routine as this world always caught me by surprise, because of how real it felt.

'If DDMMORPG's really did exist in my old world, it would truly blow everyone's mind..' I thought to myself for a moment as I saw icons pop up on a screen slightly to the left in my eye.

I took a look as I saw a call symbol flashing, 'So everyone is already here? I just sent out the message.. they must really want to see the fight.' I thought, while clearing my head i answered.

The ground my feet touched, as well as the white space that only had me and the throne. Started to change as the white broke away and was replaced by polished white stone, it stretched out in to a massive area as the walls and cylindrical like pillars that held up the ceiling far above came to life. The place was a mix of, black and white stone. The floor was polished but had cracks and a slight mist that covered it. Rows and spherical lines spaced out over the floor where 8 thrones not including mine sat, each holding a person of there own.

"It took you long enough, didn't it Nokstella.." from beside me a being spoke, his twisted face and black and red robes went well with the multitude of curved horns coming out if the sides of his head. It only helped in emphasizing his eccentric look, especially with a large great spear in one of his hands, even though it looked like a Trident.

"Mogh, how have you been, I see your still heavy in to roll play and always on time.. I'm not late, everyone else Is just early.." I spoke low as I looked at him, seeing his roll play not break I just sighed and looked around the room.

"Don't mind our idiot of a brother, Nok, how have you been.." two other deep voice's spoke to me. This time from across the floor as I looked forward. There was two more twin like beings, they didn't look far off from mogh, only that there skin was gray, wearing a ripped rag like cloak and pants. There was a large cane in each of there hands, opposite of the other. While their bear feet touched the white stone below.

"Margot and morgott, it's nice to see you two.. And I don't mind him at all, I get like that some times to. Still I've been good, you know working as always." Stretching my back I looked down at pretty much everyone here as I spoke to the twins. Taking in each of there looks with a smile on the inside.

"Yeah, it's the same for all of us.. we just wish he would relax. I mean we don't all get to be logged in at once together you know." Morgott said, looking at mogh who finally relaxed a little.

"I know, ok I was just getting into character.. it's nice to see you Nok." Mogh said with exasperated movements, making everyone here laugh.

"It's fine, I'm glad you all liked my idea.. I know it can get boring working day in and out. Why not just do this when we have free time." I said looking at a few more who laughed but hadn't really said anything yet.

"Your all one's to talk, you guys actually get to fight.. don't get me wrong becoming a boss from time to time, and beating down or trying to win a fight is fun but why am I stuck with this form!" To the right of mogh a feminine sweet and yet loud voice rang out. Sitting in this large ice throne, was the smallest being out of all the ones here, she had her face covered with a large Snow White witch hat, with long blue hair that shined like morning rain, falling down one side, her robe was just as clean white as her hat but was made of fur. It did a good job of covering most of her body, along with the white robe that ran down to her feet. Her skin was a pretty blue and she had her hands on her lap, four to be exact. She looked up at me with her beautiful other worldly blue eye as the other was covered by her hair as she yelled.

"It's not our fault you picked that design, Nok gave you the idea, and when he told you her size you didn't mind. Not till the first meeting when you found out how big everyone else was.. I mean you are a doll, princess ranni. That said your the one who said you could fight like that and didn't need size once Nok said you could change it.. and it's not like your weak." Mogh spoke loudly as he and a few others laughed.

"I was just saying! I know I'm not weak but this.. it's, it's not fair! Nok, can't I just change my size.." ranni who was pouting about being called out, looked at me with sweet eyes as she yelled a little.

"I told you before ranni.. it's pretty much stuck now that you've helped a lot of players with quest.. changing now would make the story.." I wanted to say more but I saw her look at me deeper as her smile started to fade, seeing she was going to cry I stopped.

"*sigh.. I'll think of something, ok ranni.. just calm down." shaking my head the others laughed at me as I looked at ranni again, seeing a grin as if she had tricked me.

"She got you again Nok, you need to stop spoiling her.. or she'll change whatever she wants." While they all laughed a voice came from the last two people here.

"I don't see a problem with being small, like mogh said.. your still powerful." While looking at the two, I couldn't even respond before the other of the two spoke.

The first to speak was a large woman in a scarlet throne, her fiery red hair that came out of the back of her valkyrie styled gold helmet, would catch the eye at first. Only to be drawn to her brown and scarlet heavy robe, it had a red cape that cascaded and covered her right arm. Her feet that touch the floor were human like, well besides the one being gold and had joints like a prosthetic and the other was normal. Not to mention her right arm that was golden and of a same kind as her leg. Beside her thrown sat a long blade, it was shaped like a katana, golden with engravings, but one couldn't get passed the fact it had no hilt.

Right beside said woman was another throne of pure white, this time a smaller being spoke, while not as small as ranni, they were still smaller then the rest here. This person had long red hair in a fish bone braid, a scarlet crown and a white silk like robe, their skin was pale white and they looked like that of a little girl but the voice gave it away, I mean the fact it was a boy. (There is a reason why I changed the brother.)

"Didn't think you both would stop laughing, the twins melania and the other half of Maliketh.. and I know I spoil her but if I don't do something she'll bug us all till I do.." while I said this, Everyone looked to ranni, only to shake their heads as she leaned back from the looks.

"What? I wouldn't do that.. Uh, umu.. I mean I wouldn't do it again! Come on guys I wouldn't.." ranni started to defend and stutter only to have it met with laughter.

I couldn't help but laugh at her face, neither could the others as she went wide eyed. After a few minutes it calmed down as I spoke up.. "alright, that's enough, let's get started, besides, Goddrick, godwyn and Godfrey, who are in boss fights now. Everyone should be here right.. well I think we should start before the stream right?" I spoke loud enough for the rest to calm down.

"Good.." I said after seeing everyone nod at my question.

"Well then, Let the 5th meeting of the 'Shardbearers' begin.."
