LO AFFRONTIAMO INSIEME - "We face it together"

I'm just a normal 26 year old grown woman, who works as a popular designer. Everyone thinks I'm pretty until they've seen my eyes. That's how it's been since I was a kid. As a child growing up in London with noticable heterchromia, I was mostly casted out of friend groups, that is until I moved to the states at the age of 8. I found friends in highschool that were really loyal and kind, I even met a guy that I dated, but turns out I was just so naive. I couldent see that he was cheating on me. I learned my lesson though. Although. . . .I dont know how it happened, but I met this guy, he was young, his eyes were bright blue. He was tall. He had a muscular build, he was gorgeous and so handsome, he was just breathtaking. His caramel colored hair slightly disheveled, making him even more hot. "Are you okay miss?" He asked me, his voice full of worry as I nod in response. His name is Andrew Hugh's, or Andy. . . that's what he told me. Later he offered to drop me off at my apartment. I accepted, he seemed like a nice guy. He didn't give me that look of disgust when he looked into my eyes, although I saw a hint of fascination. A nice guy... A nice guy, a handsome guy, a hot guy, that turns out to live in the same apartment as me. . . Just 3 doors beside me. "Thanks," I say, looking into his mesmerizing eyes, while walking towards my apartment room. "No problem Rosie," He replies as I close the door. Okay, WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED? I sat on the couch, thinking about Andrew as I held my puppy. Is this just a simple crush? I hope so. Ugh! This is so confusing, I havent had a boyfriend in 2 years! Am I really losing romantic relationship experience? This is like some highschool lovedrunk bullsh*t! I couldent put it as love.. but what if I am.. I couldent possibly fall in love with a this guy. . .that I crashed my car into. An unexpected event causes a popular designer and the chief of police to run into each other more and more. Both struggling with their ex's, each day they face personal misunderstandings from their past relationships, only making them realize that both of their ex's know each other, which leads the chief of police and the designer to work more and more together. Until they finally realize HOW much time they spend, with just the two of them. EDITORS: RACHEL_PENDRAGON & GHOSTYLIZ

Andrew

"Haha, what makes you think I'm famous?"  She says with a breathtaking smile.

I felt like I was punched in the stomach with a bunch of hearts when I saw her bright smile.

I can't describe how beautiful she looks, it may seem weird but she's just so amazing.

Wow I'm pretty sure I act like a creep, no wonder she looks so uncomfortable sometimes.

Eh who wouldn't after a situation like this though.

I decided to just listen to their conversation instead of joining in, or more like eavesdropping I guess. Technically, it's not really eavesdropping if I'm sitting right here though, right?

"Oh honey, your designs are so lovely, just look at my beautiful hat! All of my coworkers love this hat. Do you recognize it dear?"

Mrs. Williams asked as Ms. Dawn offered a soft gasp of realization.

Mrs. Williams just nods at her, leaving me kinda clueless of what's happening.

"I almost forgot about that design haha. Too many designs to remember," Ms. Dawn says with a shake of her head.

"Well dear, just so you know, I am a big fan of your designs, and I love your eyes too, they're astonishing honey.  Good luck dear with the future ahead of you," Mrs. Williams says as she  waves at the both of us.

I agree . . . her eyes were amazing. Incredibly beautiful.

Mrs. Williams follows her wave with a wink and a smile in Ms. Dawn's Direction before driving off, leaving Ms. Dawn and I with a puzzled face.

Ms. Dawn looks deep in thought, so I decide to bring up the topic about her job.

"So . . .  Ms. Dawn, you're a designer," I say while she flinches slightly at my voice.

"Yep, been one since I was 18," She mutters, taking a brief look at me.

Remember that stupid brain cell in the back of my head earlier? Yea . . . it apparently took control of my brain for a bit.

"18? I thought you were 18 haha, you look pretty young and beautiful," I blurted out.

Why? Why couldn't you just shut up man? Damn, I could hear the brain cells cackling.

I quickly turned my head away from her as I felt my cheeks flush red in embarrassment.

Christ.

I could tell that she was kind of uncomfortable after I blurted that out, but it was true. Her beauty was radiating brighter than the sun, she didn't look a day over 18.

I don't know if she took that as rude or uncalled for, which I guess is, but I just don't know how to speak to her in a normal civilized way.

I noticed that she averted her eyes from me. Nice move Andrew, now you made her feel even more uncomfortable. I thought, mentally punching myself for my stupidity.

I stole a short glance at her and saw that her cheeks were tinted pink.

Oh god . . . she looks even more damn cute. I let my thoughts linger about her beauty for a bit as she stared at the lamp post beside her.

I swear, you could slice a knife through the awkward silence between us.

She looked so uncomfortable, but as for me, I was busy beating up that stupid laughing brain cell.

I mustered up the courage to say something. That is, something smarter than the stupid brain cell.

"U-uhm, anyways . . . Maybe I can stop by your shop for some designs."

Oh what the f*ck. Why did I say that? Damn this. That was one of the stupidest thing I said without the 'help' of that stupid brain cell.

I could feel my smart brain cell punching me in the face.

What on damn earth is wrong with me?

She surprisingly made eye contact with me, breaking me out of my thoughts as I stared at her eyes.

I got lost in her eyes. She was just beautiful. I admired her features. Her lashes, her lightly messed up hair, her full pink lips, her freckles that went across the bridge of her nose to her rosy cheeks, and most of all, her two eyes.

Her eyes caught me by surprise when I first looked into them.

Some people think that heterochromia is ugly, but personally, I think it's extremely beautiful.

Her left eye was bright blue, probably brighter than the bluest ocean. The left eye had thin white streaks in her iris which were amazing. Her right eye was a lovely color of aqua green. It's already a rare thing to have aqua green colored eyes, but to have two different eye colors is pretty Extraordinary right? Extraordinarily beautiful.

She was tall and slim but curvy, mother******* what am I thinking! I mean, she looked fine and amazing, but I I shouldent be thinking about her like this.

Although . . . she can't read minds-

I assumed that she was 5'6 or 5'7, since she kind of was near my height.

Her wavy chestnut colored hair fell to her waist. Her almond shaped nails were painted a light shade of pink and were lightly fidgeting with her white beret. She wore a white knee-length pencil skirt that wrapped around her legs nicely, and was paired with a loose light pink tank top and a white jean jacket.

I had to snapp myself out of this trance, even though I didn't want to. I noticed she was slowly looking at me.

Looks like she's falling for you as well. The stupid brain cell said.

It was only a couple of minutes of us staring at each other, but it felt like hours had passed. I decided that I should break the silence, of course the stupid brain cell would disagree, but I didn't care about him now.

"You alright Ms. Dawn?" I said while she broke the long eye contact with me, her face tinted pink.

"Yeah . . . ," She answered slowly. "I'm okay. Uh, Also you can stop by the shop anytime. It's called Roze Dawns designer shop. Just ask any of the workers if Dawn is around."

I smile at the idea of seeing her at her shop.

Wait what?

"Alright then Ms. Dawn," I say with a happy smile.

Why am I happy again? I ask myself.

Oh you know why.
