Chapter 56 Checking The Progress

This is my first time drinking and relaxing in the Spider Crypt at night. I see the waiters here are very active in interacting with the customers. Seeing the female waiters who were very active in interacting with them, the customers became more excited and became more talkative. Influenced by the friendly atmosphere coupled with great beer and food, they are not reluctant to order more beer and food here.

"It seems they are very enthusiastic about their work." I talked to Argus and the others who accompanied me drinking.

"Right, Boss. At first they weren't like this, they were even reluctant just to smile. After following your instructions to collect information and getting a bonus for every piece of information they submit, they become more active in gathering information. Often times they will lure customers to drink more beer, so they get drunk, so that it is easier for them to get information or gossip from customers."

"Are the couriers in charge of picking up and delivering the information working properly?"

"You don't have to worry, Boss. They work very effectively and do their job very well."

"Then I have to give their boss compliments later." The information network I built in this town is already running quite well, I just need to keep an eye on them a little bit longer to make sure they can work properly and act in accordance with the direction I have given them. But, there are still some minor things that they have to fix, and they must improve their performance to be even better.

I also have to check out the information center that Snake built earlier. I hope they do it right, I want them to organize all the information that has been gathered properly so that it is easier to find it later if needed. In order to make it easier for them to store and organize the information, I will give them folders and tell them to create folder racks. Other than that, I also have to give them more paper and ink.

'I better check them out later when I'm done getting all the workers I need for the club.'

I returned to Le Reseau after a few hours relaxing in the Spider Crypt.

The next day, in the morning. Selvi and Irene came to Le Reseau after returning from buying ingredients for today's test. They also brought some ingredients to make breakfast. While they were busy cooking breakfast, I made them coffee. Usually I buy them directly from the internet, but since they are here, I'd better make it myself. I bought ground coffee from the internet and some filter paper because I didn't have time to grind coffee beans manually.

"Here's your coffee, guys. If you want to add milk or sugar, you can add it yourself, Selvi."

"Breakfast will be ready soon, Nine. You can drink your coffee first." Selvi answered me.

After they finished cooking the breakfast, we and other Le Reseau employees had breakfast together.

"Is there a problem with the ingredients that will be used for today's tests?" I asked Selvi and Irene.

"Everything has been purchased, the shop owners will deliver it to the location. The others are already at the location to receive it, we stopped by here because she wanted to make you a breakfast."

"Isn't that your idea, Sis Irene?" Selvi protested and blushed.

"Oho, why are you being embarrassed. Aren't you the one who wanted to stop by?" Irene smiled and continued to tease Selvi. Unable to stand it, she brought her coffee back to the kitchen. "I want to add milk!" We spent breakfast chatting about today's test, and Irene continued to tease Selvi at every opportunity.

"By the way, Selvi, have you spoken with Adelia to continue your position?"

She nodded her head, "Hmm, I persuaded her. You better talk to her again, I'm sure she will accept it. I have also explained all the situations that she will face later."

"But, you should explain it to her as well as what she should do later on." She added.

"Certainly, I will also guide her first so that she gets used to the situation here. I want her to get to know the other employees, especially the managers. I want them to work well together."

After breakfast, we headed to the mansion. I've come to check on the situation here and make sure everything needed is in place. When we got there, another chef who was going to be the judge was receiving the ingredients that were delivered by the shop owner where they bought the ingredients. In addition, several horse carriages from my warehouse were seen unloading the ingredients.

Irene and the others decided to use several dishes, such as, for the main dish, one of which they would use is steak. According to the head chef who works at my luxury restaurant, most of the customers there order steaks, be they ordinary people or nobles. Because steak is so popular here, that's why they will use steak as one of the test materials.

"If they can't cook the steak properly, don't bother to continue the test. We will immediately send them home." Irene said after explaining to me the types of food that would be used as a test material.

They will also be tested to cook with random requests according to the usual requests that customers ask, such as degrees of steak doneness or taste preferences. They are required to be flexible in cooking, not only based on the recipe, but also be able to make the food at the request of the customer without destroying the original taste of the food.

"Selvi, come to the guild with me."

"Huh? Shouldn't I help Sis Irene today?"

"It's true, it's just that the test participants don't know the location of today's test. I just told them to gather in the guild today. Because of that, you have to pick them up."

"Fine, but there is still something to be prepared here. Not all ingredients are here, some ingredients haven't been delivered by the shop owner."

"Should we go to the shops?" I ask.

"I've sent someone to the shop, Mr. Nine. You don't have to worry." Irene said to me.

"Okay, I better wait here too, I also want to make sure everything is ready before sending the test participants here."

"Very well, Mr. Nine."

I helped them finish all the preparations for the test before finally leaving for the merchant guild together with Selvi. We stopped by Le Reseau to pick up some gifts that I had prepared for Adelia. I gave it as a token of gratitude because she helped me a lot during the previous test.
