The Royal Academy, one of the most prestigious institutes in the entire empire. 1000 years ago when the empire took control over the world, the emperor Laplace Fireheart established the Royal Academy. The goal was very simple. Find the best geniuses all over the world, train them all together and advance the Empires civilization.

The empire is big. In order to manage such a big land without any trouble various nobles were given land to govern. This might be an off question like how such a big empire lasted for so long without any rebellion in various states. Well the answer is simple, The Royal Academy.

To put into perspective the Royal Academy is not your average Royal Academy where only the nobles are admitted while common people need to be exceptionally talented or they need to be recommended by high ranking nobles like Dukes or Marquises. No Royal Academy is different because it forcefully takes away children from every house either it's Royals, Nobles or Commoners and admits them in the academy. The academy is located on an isolated island away from the central continent. The island was once a large nation but after the rise of empire the island was completely turned into an academy.

Inside the island there's no rank, title, or prestige of family. Inside there everyone is equal. The only thing that can distinguish a student from one another is their merit, talent and strength.

The children are admitted to the Royal Academy at the age of 14. They remain inside there for 6 years. For those 6 years they are trained not only in combat classes and Magic classes but also trained in politics, literature, geography, magic science, magic engineering, Mathematics, magic calculations, magic research, magic networking, Combat technique, knighthood etc.

The 6 year student learns basically everything from beginning to the end. There are 4 departments in the Royal Academy.

First is the Knighthood Department. This is a department that raises young Knights for the nations. The main subjects that they learn over 6 years are, Combat Strategy, Combat Technique, Combating, Battle Strategy, Battle field Logistics, Battle Information and Technology Management.

After Knighthood comes the Magic Department. The courses are Magic Technique, Combat Magic, Formation Analysis, Magical Strategy, Magical Research and Develop, Pathfinder.

The third department is Engineering and they have, Magic Engineering, Magic Applied Science, Magic Mechanics, Magic Computing, Magic Networking and Magic Logic Designing. They have another Extra course called Mathematics which is a main subject.

Fourth and final Group is Medical Science. Courses are, Magical Medicine and Development, Magical Operations, Magical Diagnosis, Magical Treatment, Magical illness, Magical Core Treatment.

All these courses have basics, foundation, experts, Master course which is given to the students in their follow up years. The last course legendary is only given to people who remain consistent inside ranking 1 to 10 over 5 years. Aside from the Department courses they had to attend mandatory courses like Political Science, Politics, Science, Mathematics, Literature, Geography, Astronomy, etc. This course also has basic to legendary parts which are given to everyone throughout 6 years.

Mainly all courses ended in the 5th year. The 6th year is for everyone to remain close to the door and digest what they have learnt over the years. It's a year to understand what they will do next. A year to plan out before their debut. Some may use that time to revise the things they need most. Some may ideally pass the time. But this is a year that's intentionally left like this. So that only the most genius will have a chance to obtain the rewards in that time. It's also known as a time of enlightenment. And Also for people who are taking the legendary course this is a tough year. Because legendary courses are really the worst and toughest course in the history of the academy.

Where there is a talent there is a ranking system. In the academy those who have high rank in the exams all have greater voice. The rankings is not your average ranking like having a competition and be done with it. No. This ranking depends on lots of things. First of all is the departments own ranking, second is the ranking of mandatory curricular activities basically the ranking in math, political science etc, third is the extra curricular activities like various club, and fourth is the competition.

As a result the students are very sensitive about the ranking and even though they say everything is equal inside, the ranking still makes everything unequal. If a top ranking student is a commoner his voice will be louder than any noble. Also all high ranking commoner is automatically protected by the Royal Family. So when they leave the academy they will be given noble titles.

Anyway this is not a story about how great the empire is, neither it's a story about a commoner finding his footing amongst the noble. It's just a story about a young man who is known as the most handsome and talented among the noble community one day decided that he will leave everything behind. Can he really leave everything behind or not is basically a far future that has yet to come.

The Royal Academy island is divided into 8 sectors. Each sectors have a large city where everyone live. This city are basically dedicated dormitory for the students. Boy and Girls have their own buildings and places. The cities also has various business but among the most important business is the student control business. Many noble children will start their own business inside the city. Although whether they last or not depends on who is actually managing them what's the business.

Right now in the Academy city 4 also known as Engineering city. It's one of the most advanced cities in the academy and said to be the most fancy city after the city no 2. In the west side of the city there's a busy street known as Romance Street. The name itself is telling that this is a street where lots of young couples gather to have dates. The streets business is also dedicated towards that as a result there are lots of Cute café and restaurant business is blooming. At the end of the street there's a city square with a large tree in the middle. The tree is a magical enchanted tree that said to be planted by a couple around 500 years ago. It's one of the top dating spot.

At one corner of the city square there is a small cafe called Arista's Warmth. Although it's not in the most busy section but it's still very cool area and the couple who just wanted to have a nice date while viewing the Tree this is a shop they always visit. Right now close to the tree a girl is sitting while looking towards the Arista's Warmth.

"Arista's Warmth. What a strange name it has?" A junior first year student with Red Hair is standing in front of the cafe. She's wearing a first year uniform and she's carrying a sword on her wrist. Beside her there are two other people. One has a pretty lady-like expression, with a slight "Ara-Ara" vibe, while the other one is a knight. Her full body is covered with armour and judging by her face she was probably at training before she arrived here.

"Sumirey Sama. Are you sure this is the right place?" The Knight lady asked the Red Haired girl.

"I am not sure either, Claire but it says that this is the place he owns. Why would he own such a thing while he has such a vast family background?" The Red Haired Girl named Sumirey answered the Knight lady.

"Maybe he wanted to seek a thrill or something?" The mature looking girl suggested, "You know there are noble people who tend to do that often."

"But the rumours we heard about him are pretty gruesome. The failure of the Winston family. It's not easy to call a member of such a clan failure unless he is one. Rumours even say that he's really pathetic and has not even fought a single battle in the last year." The Knight lady Claire added.

"AHH... Sumire Chan will break someone's heart today. " The mature looking girl started teasing the Red Haired girl.

"Enough! " The Red Haired girl became angry and shouted, "What needs to be done, it needs to be done quickly no matter what. This is my family's Moto."

" Even when you Red Roses have ties with the Winston family, and even when the current Duchess of the Winston is the youngest sister of Emperor, the Duke himself is the 2nd strongest Man in the empire while the his 6 sisters are the 6 Marquis. Are you sure?"

"Shut up Elise. My family has already send me the latter. The engagement is already null the moment we heard the news. And the Winston family also didn't look too bothered about the matter much so it's already decided."

"I guess it is" With that they ended their conversation. Soon three girl started heading towards the cafe. Through the window they can see that there are some people inside the cafe close to the window.

"Hey Sumire. Are you sure you're gonna ruin the mode of every one their? We can select a more better time then this. And he's a high ranking noble none the less. So are you really gonna humiliate him." The girl name Elise is a little sympathetic towards that man. None the less ruining his business is not cool. But Sumire is not listening. She opened the door and a bell rang atop her head.

"Welcome." A girl with a black hair and pale skin wearing a dress that hides her entire body from top to bottom. She has a two horn in her head that point towards the front. She has two teeth that is coming out of her mouth. There a medium size wings are in her back. This girl is complete beauty in all standards but she is, "A demon girl." Sumire mumbled slightly hiding her voice.

It's says that demon are shunned for a long time because what they're king did around 2000 years ago. But that's a distance past to the point the exact matter is already forgotten. The first emperor Laplace made a vow saying that he will not mistreat the Demons and the history says that the first empress was actually a demon. Even one of the 12 big families is actually a demon who is still ruling the western dark realm for over 900 years.

Although on paper they are not disseminated but people are people so they still tend to behave aggressively sometime infront of them. The one important reason is that demons are strong and capable fighter. It says always all the demon children will select the knight department or Magic department. And they tend to secule themselves from people since they always get unwanted attention.

But in front of them is a beautiful demon girl who is serving coffee to peoples table. As all of them are pondering the demon girl spoke again, "It's seems like you ladies need to wait a little since all tables are filled. Why not seat by the counter. "

They are already dumbfounded so instead of standing they quickly grap some chairs close to the counter. After a while a man came out of the back door while carrying a big jar of roasted coffee beans.

The man is handsome and tall. His face is pure white while he also has dark hair. He is wearing a black apron while underneath the apron there's a white shirt with its sleeves are rolled up neatly revealing a strong forearm.

The man stoped in front of Sumire and looked at her with a smile. "It's been a while Miss Sumire. How have you been?"

He simply greeted her with a smile. The other girls also started to feel weird specially the Elise Girl who is looking at the strong forearm for some reason.
