the showdown

everyone was all fallen. even charli's lackeys were defeated too. jo tries to stand up after being beaten and attacked several times physically. he grabbed on the sword that li used to fight with. he gripped on the sword and closed his eyes, took a deep breath and prepared himself. a strange voice to him whispered:

"remember the ones you love the most? who you lost..? come and save up energy and motivation. this will be the hardest battle ever in your life. breathe in and meditate for a moment of time..."

jo sighed. and he has hard time to breathe, causing him to pant and feel exhausted with charli's powerful attacks. now he is ready to face charli as his face turns serious and furious, rage filled him up and gotten even more stronger as he remembers the destruction that she did. without a word, they commence the battle. charli charged up an abysmal attack and threw it on towards jo. he dodged the attack swiftly. another shot was incoming and he parried it back with his sword. the duel lasted long for some hours. unfortunately, jo starts to feel weak gradually and was dragged down to the ground. charli threw 8 knives towards him and beats him up more that he starts to bleed.

jo stood up once again, slowly as he gradually loses his strength. he ran towards charli and starts to swing and performed a slash on her. as she summoned more powerful powers and infused it with her knives, jo didn't stop parrying it back and the force that was put upon him causing him to move backwards. jo couldn't summon his shield and his helmet was completely broken. strange powers start to infuse his sword and causing it to glow in different colors. jo temporarily got his strength back and he's finally geared up spiritually and mentally for the battle. he slashed his sword on charli once again. he rushed forward but she swiftly ducked the attack. luckily, she won't be able to leave the city alive. jo leaped into the air and stabbed charli at the back. she starts to feel weak as she began to lose her powers and consciousness this time. before charli regains her strength, jo sliced up her head and decapitated her at last.

the mayhem in kyotana city has finally ceased to exist. jo starts to pant as he gradually feels weak again due to the powers that he temporarily borrowed. he raises the sword as he declares the victory over darkness and danger. afterwards, he fell into the ground, laid down and collapsed as his hand let go of the sword.

a day passed, jasmine went into the city then found jo, who fainted after the fight. she quickly ran towards him. she kneeled down on one knee to him. "jo? jo! hello? are you alright?" jasmine touched his cheek. jo barely opened his eyes, and his vision was slightly blurred. then, he saw his cousin ensuring him if he was okay. jasmine helped him stood up and assisted him. they rushed into the nearest hospital.

few weeks later, li and the others alongside who were fighting with charli and her minions are confined but they slowly recover from their injuries. lennie was sitting down on the sofa, playing on her phone as she waits for li to wake up. she leaned down on her cousin's bed. nicky entered the room and bought snacks for them to eat.

"hey lenlen!" nicky welcomed her with a joyful tone. "hi, auntie nicky..." lennie greeted her shyly.

"oh, where is your mama greta and lyka?" nicky asked. "mama greta was taking care of lyka. they are in the house." lennie reassures her. "and who are you with?" nicky sounded so worried and wondering why was lennie there. "oh, im with auntie grey and raine, they are with luke since he is confined." lennie answered calmly. "oh, i see." nicky replied.

"are you hungry?" she offered her some food that she bought. "umm no thanks, im fine" lennie shooked her head. "no need to be shy." nicky smiled and held her hand. "i know that li wants you to be happy. for sure that she will wake up soon". they looked at the heart rate monitor to see if li could still survive.

the following day, they decided to check on li. then finally, she tried to open her eyes.

"lina? darling, you're awake!" nicky was delighted. "big sis? you're alive...? omg!" lennie's eyes starts to twinkle as she feels amazed. li is finally awake. "huh? mom... lennie?" li replied. "honey, how are you feeling today?" nicky asked. "im alright mom." li reassured her as she hold lennie's hands. "big sis! i missed you so much? where were you that time? what happened?" lennie buried her face on li's hands. "she contributed on the battle to save the city..." nicky patted her head.

the door opened. the doctor entered the room to check on li's condition. "doc, she's finally awake." nicky said. "how's her condition today?".

"oh, as of now, glad to say that, she's about to recover from her injuries. she will be discharged soon." her doctor declared.

"thank you so much doc. i'm so glad she was able to make it..." nicky said it in relief.

someone was knocking on the door. "come in!" she said. "li, you have a visitor.". jo entered the room.

"hi auntie nicky." he gently held her hand and pressed it onto his forehead. "hey there, lenlen."

"sup jo!" lennie and jo gave each other high fives.

"oh, how's lili doing right now?" jo asked in curiousity of li's condition. "she's doing fine now lately." the doctor replied. "thank you, sir.". "no worries." the doctor reassured. "ill leave you now guys since ive got more things to do. see you." the doctor left. jo turned his head to see li. "joseph.. bestie! its you!" li exclaimed. "lili! love omg!" he went towards her and he is about to hug her but they prevented him from doing that. "she isn't fully recovered yet." nicky said. "oh sorry." jo replied as he got stunned of shame. "i just miss her really much."

"love? w-wait what?!" lennie stared at him at shock. "bestie! i meant." jo replied, facepalmed and sighed. "ugh.. im sorry. i-i wasn't dating her okay? i swear!" his face slightly turns into pink and looked away out of embarrassment. "you probably said that on purpose." lennie smirked to him. "no i don't!" jo replied.

"he just adores her so much." nicky answered. "hmmm. are you really dating my daughter lina?"

"i. am. not. dating her. okay?" jo having to claim that they're just friends for the one millionth time.

"yikes! i don't think i'd end up with her anyway if..." he sighed.
