Chapter 13 | trust

after some friendly private conversation, they hang out with each other.

li checked her smartphone to check the time, its 7pm and its 1 hour left before curfew.

"um jo.."

"yes?"

"I think I have to go before 8pm, can I have your account so I can chat you through phone?"

"no problem"

they gave each other's account and phone numbers so they can talk even if they are far away.

"I have to go now, bye!"

"see you next time!"

they went home.

jo arrived at his home and his sisters came downstairs to meet him

"big brother!" his sisters shouted.

they hugged each other.

"I missed both of you so much" jo replied as he hugged both of them tightly.

"jo, where did you go?" jen asked.

"made a friend and hanging out with her." he replied.

"cool! what's her name? who is she?" julia asked him.

"a friendless client of mine who is currently at 11th grade. I met her father then I met her when we accidentally bumped into each other" jo replied in an essay-like answer.

"what's her name?" jen asked him one more time.

"her name is... li.." he finally answered them.

"li? that's nice, but why would you date her? she haven't entered college yet" jen said and julia added. "and she haven't finished her studies yet".

"guys calm down why would I date someone who haven't finished her studies yet? if I could do that then I should've end up in jail already. I heard her story and she seemed lonely even from the start. so I just wanted to help her and make her feel that she is not alone ok?" jo's eyes widened as if he was panicking for a moment and calmed his sisters down.

"you guys should go to bed now, I'm going as well" jo went to his bed and julia followed him. julia really want to sleep beside jo and she really loves his brother.

li arrived at her home and her mom greeted her.

"welcome back lilina! you arrived so early today, I like that!" her mother praised her for going home so early.

"hahaha thanks mom... but is dad at home already?" she asked to see if her dad might scold her for going out when she isn't supposed to.

li really has strict parents but her mom would let her do what she wants sometimes when her dad is not around.

"well mom, let me tell you something..." li wants to say something to her mom.

"what is it sweetie?" her mom was curious.

"well... do you remember the guy that dad was talking to like on last Sunday..?"

"oh.. you mean the doctor that we are talking to?"

"yes..."

"what's up with him?"

"mom.. please don't get mad at me but..." li is worried because she made friends with someone older than her but atleast she found a right man who will respect her boundaries truly.

"don't worry I won't.." her mom said this to her calmly.

"well ok, I accidentally bumped into him when I was on my way to school. he helped me pick up the books we accidentally dropped. then he wants to see me again on the rooftop and have a little chat... with him..." li feels embarrassed after she told everything to her mom. after her mom heard that, she swallowed.

"oh, that's good honey. but are you sure you can trust him?"

"yeah but not really... I don't really know, you and dad talked to him right? oh ... I forgot to ask how old is he, but I think he is nice. I hope he does know how to respect my boundaries." li sounds suspicious. "and are you sure you can trust that doctor?"

"as long as he doesn't do anything wrong to you, I'm okay with it. not to mention, your sister told me you have no friends to talk to because they left you?"

"I told you before, my ex-friends were stalking me and we are no longer friends that time. they easily believe in lies." li added.

"ohhhh... that's sad, atleast you have me, I'm already your friend since you were born." her mom smiled to her.
