I sent him a goodnight emoji.

Waited for half a day, he didn't reply.

He didn't call or appear downstairs either.

But I saw another person at the convenience store entrance.

Liang Yan.

He wore a casual white outfit. From afar he still looked like a teenager.

But up close I could easily see his eyes had lost their shine.

"Are you looking for the store manager?" I felt a bit awkward after hitting his fiancée yesterday.

"I'm looking for you."

We found a lounge chair at a nearby park and sat down.

It was my first close encounter with my idol. I felt a little nervous.

Liang Yan spoke first.

"Huh?" Was I that famous?

Fu Huai and I said in unison.

After this incident, I didn't reject Fu Huai as much.

I also started accepting him as a friend.

After grandma's injection, the shadows in her eyes disappeared again.

The doctor said the efficacy of medicine would get shorter and shorter.

I felt very sad, but grandma nonchalantly said, "Silly girl, even if grandma's eyes can't see, my heart will always hold you."

"These 200,000 dollars were originally saved by auntie as dowry money for Susu. Now that you've gotten the money back, auntie will let you keep it. The card is under Susu's name. The password is her birthday."

"Mom!" I was so angry I could die. What mother gives her daughter's dowry money for an outsider to keep?

"Auntie, please rest assured. I will definitely keep this money safe. I guarantee every cent will be spent on Susu." Fu Huai very crafty took over the card and stashed it in his pocket.

My face turned green.

After the meal, my parents had me walk Fu Huai downstairs.

Arriving at his car, I held out my hand.

"Give the money back."

"No giving back. Mom gave it to me." Fu Huai held back his laugh.

"That's my dowry. Why should I give it to you?" What was going on with my parents? How could they betray me like this?

"Silly, didn't you see your mom was setting me up?" Seeing that I was truly angry, Fu Huai forcefully knocked my forehead.

"My mom would never set someone up!" From young, my mom taught me to have principles and not take what isn't mine.

"You're so dumb!" Fu Huai waved the card in front of me, "I can give you the money, but with one condition."

"What condition?"

"Let me kiss you."

I was stunned for a moment, "Aren't we just ordinary friends now?"

"We won't be after a kiss." Fu Huai looked at me expectantly.

Under the street lamp, I noticed his lips looked a bit tempting. So I tiptoed and took the initiative to go up.

He instantly wrapped me in his embrace.

I took the chance to swiftly snatch away the card in his hand before I completely lost myself.

Fu Huai said I was silly. But I certainly wouldn't admit that!

He thought I wouldn't see through his petty tricks.

When did the police get so efficient to get the 200,000 dollars back without losing a cent?

As my grandma said since I was little, I'm extremely crafty.

"Pay attention!" Seeing that I was distracted, Fu Huai held me even tighter.

It was much later before he gradually caught his breath and asked, "We're still just ordinary friends?"

I shook my head. "We're far from ordinary long ago."

I knew following Fu Huai, there would be many twists and turns in the future.

But I was only 22, in the prime of my youth.
