"Gary..I love you"

The last image of my wife is her being completely smashed by the monster's huge wooden bat

Her blood scattered to my face, I could feel its warmth...

The monster lifted his wooden bat revealing nothing but blood...I couldn't see my wife's corpse

But the blood pool in the ground hinted that my wife has been smashed by the bat

But where is she?

The monster glance toward me and raise his arm ready to attack and do what he did to my wife

I have no fear...dying here would be better than being alive cause of my wife's sacrifice, I never told her to save me, if I'm gonna die, me alone should be enough...

At least it could end right here...

And at that moment I saw a light it was flashing so bright that the image of the monster completely disappeared

My eyes closed itself maybe because it sense that i might go blind if I stared at the light for too long

And once I opened it again

The monster was gone...

The large tree's and the dirt ground was also not visible...

Where am I?..

Is this a place where you'll be when you die for the second time?

Does that mean I could see my wife here

I thought to myself and cling to that idea and move forward...with the idea of being with my kid forgotten

A month has passed...and I gathered enough information to know that im still at the purgatory...

Does than mean I couldn't see her anymore?...no,no,no,no...I didn't saw her body, yes, she's not there when the monster raised its bat

Does that mean she escaped...yeah she escaped!, she's alive

With that in mind I honed my skills in fighting, dreaming that if we reunited I could be the one that protect her...

I was in the tenth floor of the purgatory...this place is not a place where I could stay forever,

I know that cause i saw someone banished...and some said that it's because he stayed in the tenth floor for too long without stepping into any other floors...

I believe that and goes to the floor higher...not wanting to die at least before I reached my wife...

Three years later....

"Gary, going up again"

A buff man said which I nodded in response

"That's great, hey man can you carry this to the twelfth floor"

I looked at him for a second before grabbing the small bag at his hand

"Thank you, I'll treat you later Gary"

He said...I don't believe him, maybe he's taking me as a pushover...why did I even grabbed this bag?

I'm in the tenth floor of the purgatory right now replenishing the items I need to go up...I have no idea to why I need to go higher, but it felt like I need to do it..

"Hahhaha, your not funny, seriously we need to move up"

A voice coming meters away from me...

It sounds familiar...

"Gary....I love you"

Who said that?, I wanted to ask, but my body moved by it's own

I dropped the bag I was holding and moved closer to the place where I heard the familiar voice

I didn't question my action and slowly reached a wall

I peeked at the wall and saw a young woman, she's wearing a cloth that a beginner climber should have, is it her first time going up?,

I followed her and his team...I have no idea why I did so...

When they arrived at the eleventh floor they separated with each other...

The eleventh floor is like a forest...

And in the entire minute that she was alone no words left her mouth

'I wanted to hear it?"

I pondered before throwing a knife, as it hit her cheeks, she screamed in a high pitch voice

"Kyaaaa!, help,there someone here"

I closed my eyes as i hear the mesmerizing tone of her voice...I want to hear more

Her voice was heavenly but that's not the reason why I wanted to hear it again...

Am I forgetting something?

I asked myself I tried to recollect all my memories of this place...but I couldn't think of anything connected to her voice

Anxious for answer I threw another knife...I thought that maybe if I heard it again, I could know what's happening to me

It hit her arm in that moment she ran away screaming for her teammates to find her

"Help, help yelp!"

I wanted to throw one of my knife at her once more...but I stopped when I saw his teammates arriving

Should I kill both of them?

I thought, why did I think of that just now

'Gary...I love you'

The voice is clear in mind despite not knowing who is the one behind it...

When the girl disappeared and I couldn't hear her anymore

I regained my composure and goes to the place where all climbers pick a mission

Climber is a term for someone who climb floors and bring ingredient back to the tenth floor, and I'm one of those climbers

"Hey gary!"

A buff man yelled at me,

"Wheres my bag, my team didn't recieved it"

He said when he got near me

He sound composed but I know he's waiting for a time to beat the hell out of me

I looked around and saw that he got the attention of the climbers presented at the gathering

"Why don't we talk about this later...meet me at the back later"

I whispered to him before going sitting in a chair

"Waiter one beer please"

In the back of the guild....

"G..ary"

He tried to plead for his life but I got enough of him

He should just die

I thought before putting a knife in his neck

"irrk..y..o"

He try to struggle but he was weaker than me in every aspect except for his height that is...

I was in top of him holding the knife firmly against his neck waiting for him to draw his last breathe
