Camping At Thrine Forest Depth (II)

As the goblins get closer to the camp, white light can be seen inside the camp. Before the smarter goblins could guess what it was, a huge white orb ascended to the sky before exploding into smaller white orbs.

Except, the smaller white orb descends quickly onto the goblins at the back. The goblins at the back, composed of archers, slingers, and shamans tried to run away but their ranks being so tight made it hard for any one of the goblins to move, resulting in them shoving one another to save their own skin.

This resulted in many goblins being blown to pieces by the white orb, while the creator of the white orb smiled at the result.

"Looks like the Arcane Bombardment works like a charm," Ian said to himself before looking at Kell.

"Hope him using a new weapon will not be hard for him,"

-x-

"Take this, and this!" Kell yelled as he tore through the lesser goblins with ease. Soon, he reached another hobgoblin.

A brutal smile formed on his face before he charged at the monster, parrying the club strike before impaling the monster, the spear pierced through its belly.

He pulled the spear, spinning it and causing the tip to hit the goblin behind him, and beheading it in one swoop.

"Send me your greatest warriors!" he roared, making even the hobo step back, clearly afraid of the monsters in front of them.

Seeing they would not charge at him, mostly because they were smart, Kell charged at them, swinging his spear like some kind of demented Grim Reaper, killing all the goblins in front of him with ease.

Seeing how the lesser goblins were cut down like wheat by a demented farmer, the hobgoblins charged at the man, hoping to end him.

Kell laughed seeing the stocky goblins before avoiding their swings. As he got closer to them, he jumped on their arms before driving his spear down, from their heads to their toes.

He then ducks under another swing before a quick stab cuts off the jugular of the monster. The hobgoblin clutches its throat before falling to the ground and disappearing.

After killing the hobgoblin, he looked at the remaining monsters before yelling, "Who's next?!"

The monsters, using their limited brain cells to the fullest, call for an all.out retreat, running away from the death zone discussing itself as a camp and two hairless monkeys.

"That's the end of them. Should we chase after them?" Kell asked Ian, who shook his head.

"We don't know where they are going. For all we knew, they will be heading to their main camp, which is likely filled with who knows how many goblins," Ian reminded him, who merely nodded.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Kell asked again, after all, destroying the large hordes would likely mean they would be safe for a time.

"Now, we are going to have a quick rest then we will scout more places. Ideally, we should try making some kind of map for the future expedition," Ian decided, the idea sounding more sound the more he thought about it.

"Alright, let's rest then we are going exploring!"

-x-

"There are no goblin's camp from the first camp until almost one kilometer Ian, at least on my side," Kell reported. The two have split up. While it would be dangerous for most mages to split up from their group, Ian can cast Shield and Heal to himself, so he would be fine.

They had decided to head to both east and west of the camp and see if there were more such goblin camps or not.

"Me neither. Maybe they put the camp deeper inside rather than spreading more of their forces?" Ian speculated as he chowed down on one of the jerkyies he had bought as ration.

"Yeah, maybe they have more camp like this deeper. After all, they need to have some kind of station from the Thorn Wall into the depth of the Thrine Forest," Kell agreed, offering suggestions as well.

"Alas, the question is whether we should go deeper or not. After all, we might accidentally meet with the chieftain before we are prepared for such an engagement," Ian reminded.

Kell has to reluctantly agree. They are only two people, two very powerful people, but still two people, against what could be a camp filled with thousands of goblins.

Against the chieftain in one one-on-one, they believed they could win. However, they doubt the chieftain will fight them one on one. More like, one thousand against one, which usually resulted in said one being a smear on the ground, so yeah, no.

"What are we going to do then, scout and help create a map?" Kell asked though he expected the answer to be yes.

He was pleasantly surprised by what came out of Ian's mouth. "No, we will exterminate as many goblins as possible. However, if the chieftain sends an army after us, run. Run like cowards,".

-x-

The two begin their one-man rampage against the entire goblin population in Thrine Forest's deepest part. With their strength, eliminating goblins is not a matter of if, but when.

Besides reducing some pressure in the future, they also accumulate a terrifying amount of magic core, which will help them a lot in the future, no doubt of it.

However, for now, they stop caring for the future and focus more on the present. After all, the present is filled with goblins screaming war cries and carrying pitchforks and torches, and they are chasing after the two of them, with what they believe to be the chieftain, a taller, more slender goblin leading the charge on them.

Oh, did he mention they are riding god damn wolf as well?

So, there they were, Ian on top of Kell as he blasted the incoming army of goblins, chanting at a terrifying pace, while Kell was being his equivalent of the goblin's wolf, moving as fast and outpacing the wolves, much to the goblins, and well, Ian's shock.

"Run away and get out of here!" Ian yelled at Kell before using Arcane Bombardment, hitting a large chunk of the goblin's army. However, the one at the front dodged on account of being at the front and very fast, mostly because of the wolves.

"Are there any more super powerful spells you can cast on them?!" Kell asked him, another arrow hitting the Shield he layered all over Kell and himself.

"Well-" Ian stopped, watching as the goblins stopped moving before retreating to the depths of Thrine Forest.

"Why are they retreating?" Kell asked, clearly shocked by what happened.

"Not sure, but we are going to report this to the head,"
