Another Day, Another Commission

Oo As the entire party woke up, Kell looked at them with a stern look. He then took out what a schedule for an entire week.

"Our party can easily make 10 gold coins a day," he began, "but we often take a day off after one day. So in total, for every work day, we have one rest day,"

"This can't go on," he exclaimed. "If we want to be able to live a better life in the future, we need to start preparing now, such as, do we want to advanced our rank to the highest rank, or do we want to stop when we reached a certain level?" he asked them.

"Well, that depends, what do we want to achieve and so on?" Ian said, making the rest nod in agreement.

"True, but like I said, we also want to be able to live a relatively luxuriously life without having to work twenty for seven when we retired. So, we should start to save money, or, if we want to advance to a certain rank, we will do so. So, what do you want? Do you want to begin saving money or get stronger?"

His question caused all of them to be in deep thought. After all, it is a serious question related to their future. So, he is entitled in asking for it, as Kell wanted to make a plan for them.

"Well, I want to see every corner of the world. I want to explore and experience what the world have to offer," Ian exclaimed. After all, he get to live in another world, so, why should he not experience everything he can.

"True, at first, I am contend with what we have. But just now, well, let say I want to see every part of the world, and feel all it can offer," Ana agreed with Ian.

Soon, the rest began to voice their agreement, to which the leader smiled.

"Good, because I prepared the schedule if that is your choice," he then took out a paper with detailed description of an entire week plan, or at least the gist of it.

"So, from Monday to Friday, we will take on commission while Saturday and Sunday will be rest day. We will also try to make a goal for the week,"

"Goal for the week?" Lisa asked.

"Yes, like how many golf coins we want to make in a week, or how many C-rank monsters we want to kill, and how many commission we want to take in a week, things like that," he explained.

"That is so we can achieve our goal, and after we achieve the goal, we could think of making a new goal, so we can improve ourselves," the others nodded, seeing the merits for his suggestion.

 "Sure,"

"I agree with it,"

"That's a good plan as any,"

"Why not?"

"Excellent, for this week, we will hold back on the goal for now. We don't want to burn ourselves by going to face. Instead, we will see how much we can achieve in this week and see if we can improve our records," Kell told them. With the meeting now finished, they make their way to the guild building, planning to start their commission.

"So, which commission do you want to take?" the receptionist asked, smiling at the rising party in front of her. The only complaint she had about them is the fact they did not have a consistent working time, choosing to take missions based on their whims.

'Then again, they are adventurers. They choose this life for the thrils not to mention doing it like works will be hard as they are more prone to injuries,' she though inside her head.

"We like to take these commissions," Kell gave the woman the commission paper. The receptionist nodded and approve it.

"Ana, cover the flank! Ian, prepare to Shield Lisa!" the two people obeyed Kell's order, Ana taking over the flank and repelling a kobold that got to close, while Ian cast Shield on Lisa, who charged at the front and began to lacerate the kobolds, making the scream in pain as they suffer from deep cut.

The distraction prove fatal as Kell charged to the front and swing his spear, taking them down with a single strike.

After causing havoc at the front, Lisa turned around and head towards the flank, encirclinf them at striking the kobolds at the flank from behind.

Her appearance threw the off guard as she backstab many of them, the direction allowing Ana to skewer more of them, killing them and pushing them towards Lisa, trapping the kobolds between the two of them.

"Cold Wind," it is not helping that Fiona took the chance to weaken them by making them cold, as kobolds lacked the fur to protect them from the cold.

"Raargh!" the kobolds growled and began to make their escape, which would have succeeded if not for Ian.

"Multi Arcane Shot," he uttered, blasting the fleeing kobolds as they ran for the hills.

After Ian finished the last of them, Kell looked around and nodding, "That the last of them,"

To be honest, the receptionist was not expecting to be here for the next day, as they have take a lot of commissions yesterday, though they also went hunting and collecting at the deeper part of the forest, getting them more magic cores.

So, color her surprise when she spot them coming into the guild building.

"We will take these two," the leader said, giving her the two commission papers. She nodded and approve it, and once again, they head into the Darna Forest.

-x-

"Is it just me, or does the kobolds no longer a challenge?" Kell asked them, skewering another monster with ease.

"Normally, it will be just you and Ian, but yeah, I think they are a lot easier to deal with now," Ana answered, lopping of the head of another kobolds.

"It must be because how much experience we gained, so we are slowly getting used to dealing with kobolds," Ian hypothesized, blasting another kobolds with ease.

"Maybe we can even take on a dragon," Ana said, to which they all looked at her in disbelief.

"Ok maybe not a dragon," she concede, but maybe something weaker, like a drake or a wyvern," she suggested.

The others merely shrug. While they were still not on that level, just yet, they could achieve it in the future, as long as they survive, Ian and Kell thought.

The two cleared their head, not planning to think something so far in the future. For now, they should just deal with the kobolds in front of them.
